Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by That Artsy Reader GirlThis week’s topic is: Most Anticipated Book Releases for the Second Half of 2021

And now… books!

Fun fact: I copied this as a draft from last year’s post, which was copied from that last year’s post, which was copied from the year before that, and so on as one does. Look, I could pretend to be sorry, but I am not. At all.  So I am taking the easy way out, I barely changed this paragraph even!  I’ll still link all the books and such, because I am awesome. If you want to see all the 2021 books I added to my TBR, here they are!

I also only used books with covers, because apparently I am superficial like that. Even three years later, when I first said that. Also, obviously some of these fit in more than one category, so I just… picked one.  Also I absolutely forgot some.

The Debuts

The Sequels

The New Series

The Standalones (includes books that might be series but I am not a psychic, so ?‍♀️)

The Adult Section

The Ones I’ve Read (and loved!)

(Reviews for all these- and more July books- coming soon!)

So let’s talk about backhalf 2021! What are some things you’re hoping to do? Books you’re longing to read, shows to watch, etc?

  1. Great list, Shannon! A Psalm for the Wild-Built, That Dark Infinity and White Smoke all made my list this week, too. I can’t believe I didn’t realise Karen M. McManus has a new book coming out – I love her thrillers – and I’d really like to give Iron Widow a try, too!

  2. So many books I now have to go look up. I love the cover of The Dead and the Dark! I’m looking forward to A Psalm for the Wild-Built and Far From the Light of Heaven.

  3. Oh, yeah! I have Up All Night. Glad to see you endorse this book. I would say most of the contemporaries are on my radar. I have left series behind for the most part, but am eager to read Barnes’ next installment of the Hawthorne Legacy. Zentner’s is high on my list, of course, because Zentner. and McManus will always make my anticipating lists. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on these books.

  4. I’m like Amber- I just need to come here for what’s coming out in new books. 🙂 Love the cover of You & Me, and Thrones Breakers. The Lost Girls looks promising. The Rae carson, too. McManus, naturally. 🙂

  5. Great post! I barely know any of these so gonna have a fun time checking them all out and adding more books to my never ending tbr 🙂

  6. You’re killing me, Shannon! (and yes, I’m half quoting The Sandlot). I need to go check out so many of these. I am super pumped for some already though like All These Bodies and White Smoke. I also really need to read Kingdom of the Wicked since the sequel is coming out.
