Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is: Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2019
Fun fact: I copied this as a draft from last year’s post, which was copied from the year before that. Look, I could pretend to be sorry, but I am not. At all. So I am taking the easy way out, I barely changed this paragraph even! I’ll still link all the books and such, because I am awesome. If you want to see all the 2019 books I added to my TBR, here they are!
I also only used books with covers, because apparently I am superficial like that. Even a year later, when I first said that. Also, obviously some of these fit in more than one category, so I just… picked one. Also remember, these are only through June! Also I absolutely forgot some.
The Weight of Our Sky sounds good. One good thing about doing this activity, now I am really excited about a few upcoming books. Since I usually don’t pay attention to releases this is a new position for me. Hope you get to read a few of your anticipated books. My Anticipated Releases
Argh. Your lists are always dangerous for my finances! 😉 These books do look great though. I can see why you’ve added them! Enjoy them when you get to them!
Honor Bound… mm maybe I need to get on that bandwagon. Rayne and Delilah’s just has one of those amazing covers I could stare at all day. When The Sky Fell- same thing.
The girl on Blood Heir just looks mean.
I’m most definitely excited for Mary Webber’s! She always writes such unique stories. Also, I saw Four Dead Queens on another list today, but don’t think I’ve read about it. Now, I’m intrigued! Hope you enjoy all of these, Shannon. 🙂
Oh you already read The weight of our sky. Lucky! Some great books on your lists. So many great ones coming out in 2019, it is hard to choose haha.
I’m also super excited for Wicked Saints! Roshani Chokshi said it’s perfect for those who shipped Alina and the Darkling, and that definitely includes me. 🙂 Other than that, I’m most excited for Leigh Bardugo’s new releases: Ninth House and King of Scars.

Ohh, this is a good list!
When the Sky Fell On Splendour sounds SO GOOD.
My TTT post!
So many great books to look forward too!

I only mentioned books with covers as well – it did help keep my list short. Also, the 2019 book covers are simply gorgeous. *.* Some of the books you mentioned also made my list, such as Blood Heir and Sky Without Stars. I really can’t wait to read When the Sky Fell on Splendour – Stranger Things is one of my favourite TV shows.
Happy readings! 😉

OMG THANK YOU FOR PUTTING HOUSES ON HERE. I MAY CRY LOVINGLY ON YOU (that surely is a compliment and not a…concern?? ?) ajfdaslkd *squishes you* And also I have like most of these added ALREADY. My TBR list for 2019 is just ridiculous. I need to trip down a goldmine or I’m going to end up selling a liver or my sister. Or just my sister. I’m so flexible like this.
I hope you enjoy all of these books. They have such beautiful covers.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Great list, Shannon! My purse is crying right now because there are so many amazing sounding books coming out this year and I want all of them. The Bone Charmer sounds really interesting – thanks for bringing it to my attention!
So many!! I definitely see some I’m interested in – You Must Not Miss and Rayne and Delilah. Also The Quiet and the End of the World looks good – purely based on cover of course!
“The Quiet at the End of the World” looks like such a good read.
This is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
I forgot a bunch from my list, too. I’m very bad at paying attention to what’s coming out. I’m excited for The Grief Keeper and When The Sky Fell On Splendor. They both sound excellently weird. I hadn’t heard of Switchback until right now, but I love survival stories. I’ll have to check out the reviews on that one.
Wow! Such an awesome list. The Blood Heir made my lost as well. And that cover for Bone Charmer – awesome!
Love the cover of The Quiet at the End of the World. And seeing that one from James totally reminds me that I still need to read both The Next Together and The Loneliest Girl in the Universe.
I’ve already read Firestarter by Tara Sim and loved that, and I’m the middle of Enchantee by Gita Trelease and loving that. My most anticipated for this year are Priory of The Orange Tree, A Girl Called Shameless, Finale, Crossfire and Children of Vritue and Vengeance, though I have a lot more on my list that I am also really looking forward to!

You’re still WAY ahead of me. I still haven’t even looked at what’s coming out this year lol
Karen @ For What It’s Worth
I have Boys Who Steal Houses and The Raven’s Tale on my list too!! I’m also pretty curious about Jeff Zentner’s new one.
-Lauren
I am ridiculously excited for Wayward Son and The Bride Test! I also highly, highly recommend You Asked For Perfect which is total amazingness that comes out in March!
OH yes. We are all going to need a whole lot of luck to get through all of these incredible looking releases haha. I am SO happy to see you mentioning Lauren James’ book, I love all of her work so much and can’t WAIT to read that new book <3 also so excited about Blood Heir, The Boy Who Steals Houses and Last of Her Name 🙂
So many of these look good to me! I pre-ordered Four Dead Queens. Blood Heir, Sky Without Stars, Last of Her Name… there is no shortage of books this year!
Oooh, there are a bunch of books here that are new to me! Thanks for putting them on my radar 🙂 Blood Heir looks like it’s going to be an awesome, epic fantasy read. And the Bone Charmer sounds really wild, an interesting mix of fantasy and sci-fi (with the whole parallel lives aspect)…
Rayne and Delilah’s Midnite Matinee caught my eye right away from the cover and the title. I’ll definitely have to check it out! Most of these books I haven’t heard of before you mentioned them, so I’ll be curious to see which ones get hyped by others as they’re released. And, of course, The Boy Who Steals Houses is on my “must buy” list.
Our Year of Maybe was SO GOOD! I’m also really glad to hear that you loved The Weight of Our Sky, because that’s on my most anticipated list! I’m also really looking forward to The Quiet At the End of the World, since I loved Lauren James’s previous novel, The Loneliest Girl in the Universe.
Zentner and Henry – gimme please! Those two have shown me the awesome and I want more of it.
Wicked Saints and The Boy Who Steals Houses are two that I am most excited for this year! They’re going to be so good!
When you said you were only choosing books with covers, I immediately thought of Cait’s book, but I see you included it anyway. 🙂 WHY are there so many books I want to read??? Seriously, this is a cruel world because I want to read everything AND blog AND write AND occasionally talk to my family and stuff, and it seems sort of impossible. I want them ALL!!!
So long as you’re not having to copy over loads of books that you hadn’t had the chance to read then I don’t think reusing a post draft is bad. Hey, it’s recycling!
The Grief Keeper cover is my favourite of your choices I think. Love that artwork!
I’ve been anticipating a lot of these titles as well! And I’m glad to hear you loved The Weight of Our Sky because that one’s included in the top of my list. <3
Four Dead Queens is one I have been hearing so much about and when you read it I hope you love it. Here and Then and also Heroine are both on my kindle waiting for me to read them and I am sooo excited 😀
