Welcome to August’s Monthly Minutes at Midnight!

Here’s the deal: I’ll share the books I’ve obtained, posts of interest from others, giveaways I have happening, and just general random shenanigans. You know I love a shenanigan.  Also, covers all link to Goodreads, because I am awesome. As always, I link up with the Wrap Up Round Up, too!

The Books

Thanks so much for Predestined and Night of Madness !! I am giddy excited for Predestined! And Night of Madness looks really good too!

eARCs:

This isn’t terrible, I suppose.

Just some pre-orders of most anticipated books, nothing to see here!

Won/Gifted/No Idea But It Showed Up at My House:

Nothing this montH!

Shenanigans Since Last Time:

I read 112books this month.  That was not enough because I request too many books, see.

Fancy & New Since Last I Saw You!

I love looking at pretty covers! So here are some new ones that I have fallen in love with since our last update!

Pretty covers are pretty. Much pretty this month!

Things we need to talk about at this juncture:

  • What a month. August was… a lot. And kind of in the bad way? The start of the school year has been… well, it hasn’t gone great. So I am just going to gloss over it at the risk of being a really big Debbie Downer. And I don’t think I actually did anything enjoyable, which probably contributes to the bummed feeling, so yeah, let’s look ahead, shall we?
  • Upcoming stuff!  At least there are things to look forward to, yeah? Conageddon is in the throes of announcing guests for March, so that is excellent. The kids have a lot of stuff coming up- Lena’s doing tennis and is in full-swing, Sam has his black belt test in October, then basketball, and his birthday, I am still excitedly planning for Greece, etc. So, I just need to kind of get through the rough parts, you know?

Have a great September, loves! You have anything fun to share?

  1. At least the “upcoming stuff” section is full of things to look forward to! I’m sorry the school year started on the wrong foot though. I hope it’s stuff that can improve…

Looking forward to those reviews, especially Zahara Douglass, because I’m curious to see if our thoughts align!

  2. Greece! Tell me more (actually, you probably did in your last email which I’m now doubly excited to read). You’ve got some interesting looking books up there. Any standout fav?

  3. Sorry school started not so great for you. I’ve had those years the past few years. So far school is good for me. I’ve just been dealing with my elderly dogs’ health and that has not been great for me mentally. Here’s hoping September will be better for us in the ways we need.
