Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is: Books I LOVED with Fewer than 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads

I have done this before- right here and also here!  And I was sure I’d have a ton more, but it turns out I don’t have a lot more since the last time but there are a ton that I am actually dying to read, so…. here we go! I didn’t add sequels because then this whole post would have been sequels. Also, I am only doing books that have been released for a second or two, seems unfair otherwise! So. Onward!

Oh, and covers link to Goodreads!! ? (Fun fact- all of these have fewer than 400 ratings, eep. Must. Read!)

Have you read any of these “hidden gems”? Would you like to? Which must I get to ASAP?

  1. Ok so I basically love almost all these covers, for one thing. And After The Lights Go Out is on my TBR now and I need to read it soon! Fear My Mortality could be about someone selling lemonade by the road and I’d wanna read it, with that cover.

Dead and Breakfast just looks fun.

  2. Look at you with a controversial book on your list. Did they ever pub Castaways or did it die as an ARC the way that other recent book did? Dunn’s books get a lot of good buzz, so I am curious, and I have Hole in the Middle. It slipped through the cracks, but I am still interested.

    • Waiiiiit it’s controversial!?!?! WHy?! What did I miss!? Help a girl out, Sam! It has all good reviews from my Goodreads friends! The only negative reviews I am seeing is a “meh I was bored” few!

I have read one of Dunn’s books, but I think her other stuff is much more “me” than the one I read so Idk why I started with that one hah. I have several of hers, but I have especially heard positives about this one!

Hole in the Middle REALLY did slip through. Soho kind of sucks at promo, tbh. I bought it when it came out in the UK a few years ago, but I was so sad to see it get almost no attention last year!

  3. Dead and Breakfast was SO CUTE!! I actually think I got introducted to that author because of you!? So totally say yay to reading that one. ?? I also have After The Lights Go Out, and I was just looking at it today and feeling guilty at how I haven’t read it yet. ?

    • YES! Because of Grunge Girls and Graveyards! Which is still one that I love (though The Lady in Blue is on my all-time favorites list which I think says a LOT because it’s a pretty small list hah.) SEE this is the good part about being in Australia, you get all the good OZYA books. I need to take a trip, obviously. Just load up a few suitcases ?

  4. As the author of Dead and Breakfast, I am honored to be on this list. And I will mail you the book with a lovely note because you are wonderful and I want you to read it. Email me!

    • AW you are too sweet! I do have a Kindle copy! I NEED to read it ASAP- I have loved ALL your other stuff, what the heck am I even waiting for? I swear, once this move is done, I am going to have time to actually read stuff I want to read again ?

  5. I haven’t heard of any of these, which kind of makes sense, but still feels like a failure on my part somehow. But two of these books really stuck out to me because The Incredible True Story of the Making of the Eve of Destruction just has the most beautiful cover! (And such a cool title too!) And Dead and Breakfast is a really clever title for a book! I can’t wait to hear what you think of all of these once you read them!

  6. Oooh, some of these covers are just plain gorgeous! I’ve actually loved going around and seeing all the covers everyone’s posted. xD I don’t necessarily judge a book by its cover, but they sure are nice to look at. 😉

Several of these sound great, and I’ll have to look into them! Definitely loving the sound of The Eve of Destruction!

I’ve never even heard of any of these. ANY of them. Yikes! I’m about to go add them all to my Goodreads TBR list, stat. And I can’t wait to see which ones you read and loved!
