Welcome to February’s Monthly Minutes at Midnight!

Here’s the deal: I’ll share the books I’ve obtained, posts of interest from others, giveaways I have happening, and just general random shenanigans. You know I love a shenanigan.  Also, covers all link to Goodreads, because I am awesome. As always, I link up with the Wrap Up Round Up, too!

Shenanigans Since Last Time:

I read 9 books this month. Not great, but it’s a short month and I was insanely busy, so.

Also, this is legit one of the best reading months, ratings wise, I have ever had! So yay for that, at least!

Blogosphere Bulletin

Here are some of the loveliest/most entertaining/super helpful/just plain interesting posts I found this month!

  • Guys I am so sorry but I have to fail again. Check out the Discussion Linky for all the best stuff, I promise I will try to do better next month!

Fancy & New Since Last I Saw You!

I love looking at pretty covers! So here are some new ones that I have fallen in love with since our last update!

Pretty covers are pretty. Also huge cover month, eh?

Things we need to talk about at this juncture:

  • Whew guys this was a long one. I mean. The world is on fire, literally this is the most poorly written dystopian novel ever… and we are living it. Add to it that classes have resumed and work is being… extra, the kids have had non-stop activities and whew. I am so done I can barely type this paragraph! Then I decided to cave to Lena and get a cat, because I guess I hate myself?

This is Gus. He is generally more pleasant than this picture suggests.
  • Conageddon 5 is in two weeks! A bright spot, thankfully! Though I know it will be even more exhaustion, at least it’s the fun kind? I am all kinds of scared to get on a plane though, and I never have been afraid to fly but… well, you read the news! If you want to join the fun, tickets are still available

Have a great March, loves! Let me know how your month was! Looking forward to anything coming up?

  1. “This is Gus. He is generally more pleasant than this picture suggests.”
    😂 He’s a beautiful one though!

I quite enjoyed Third Rule and want to read White Line Fever!

Glad you had a good reading month, though the other things were not exactly pleasant or relaxing…But sleeping and resting are overrated, aren’t they? 😅

  2. Gus is adorable, that looks like a standard cat expression, lol. Yay for Conagedden coming up soon! It’s so nice having something to look forward to! Lots of good books. I loved Nicole’s book, and even though it’s not really something for my high school library, I might buy a copy for each of the middle school libraries in my district. :-). Hope March is good for us all!

  3. Aww Gus! Maybe he will help take some of the tension away. (Or maybe not, I’ve never had a cat). I’m looking forward to Chaos, White Line Fever and Space Brooms. Good luck juggling everything this month, and hang in there, the apocalypse is only getting worse and weirder as the days go by…

  4. I didn’t know about How Girls Are Made!! I love the author and just added the book to my TBR (plus several others based on their covers, lol). I’m also looking forward to What Happens in Amsterdam! I hope you have a lovely week. 🙂

  5. Congrats on the self-restraint when it comes to books! I’m proud of you. 🙂

I’m sorry things have continued to be The Busiest, and….er….surprised about the cat. I for some reason thought you were allergic or something. But glad to hear Gus is a sweetie, and I hope your kids are learning about caring for animals and the efforts/rewards of that. Thanks for adopting an adult cat, too, and not starting with a kitten! The shelters are beyond full these days, so every adoption matters.

Yay for Conageddon! SO SOON! I just know that you’re gonna have a blast. And I get it, with the air travel. I had 3 flights for my move to WA and was terrified. I just kept reminding myself that the percentage chance is still very, very small. And reminding myself I WILL die, that’s assured, at some point (I may be a bit dark at times….but ya know, fearing something that’s definitely going to happen feels stupid, to me, so I try to just accept that when it happens, it happens and everything will be OK).

I hope school goes more smoothly, and that classes are easier AND more helpful here in this home stretch!
