Welcome to March’s Monthly Minutes at Midnight!

Here’s the deal: I’ll share the books I’ve obtained, posts of interest from others, giveaways I have happening, and just general random shenanigans. You know I love a shenanigan.  Also, covers all link to Goodreads, because I am awesome. As always, I link up with the Wrap Up Round Up, too!

Shenanigans Since Last Time:

I read 9 books this month. Not great, but guys I cannot even properly explain how busy this month has been, so. It’ll have to do!

Some really good books here, folks! Some less great ones too but hey, they can’t all be 5 stars!

Here are some of the loveliest/most entertaining/super helpful/just plain interesting posts I found this month!

  • Guys I am so sorry but I have to fail again. Check out the Discussion Linky for all the best stuff, I promise I will try to do better next month! (She says again for the second or third month in a row.)

Fancy & New Since Last I Saw You!

I love looking at pretty covers! So here are some new ones that I have fallen in love with since our last update!

Pretty covers are pretty. Also huge cover month, eh?

Things we need to talk about at this juncture:

  • Honestly March felt much shorter than February! Probably because Conageddon broke it up a bit, I feel sorry for all the folks who had to suffer through the whole thing. I also have not had more than 30 seconds to pause during the month! It is chaos, it is bedlam. Lena decided to rejoin karate, and start track. She was inducted into the Junior National Honor Society, too. Sam is still doing karate, and was promoted to Black Belt Leader (which is mostly just a ploy for money, but he is thrilled!) and basketball just wrapped up. I have to write a 25 page paper which honestly I should then be able to count toward my Goodreads Challenge or something (this thing is like, the epitome of busy work- did anyone ever improve as a teacher because they had correct citations? No. They did not.) I also have two IEPs to write in the next two weeks, and progress notes, and and and… Anyway, I am excited for April because we have Easter break and whoooo boy do I need a break! My stuff from Conageddon is washed, but may never be put away at this point!
  • Conageddon 5 was amazingI am so very glad I got to go again, and I really, really need us to meet again.

Have a great April, loves! Let me know how your month was! Looking forward to anything coming up?

  1. Your kids are the athletic type indeed, aren’t they? Good for them and their health, says the couch sitting champion 😂 (less good for your wallet, I guess…).

You definitely earned your Easter break! I continue to be impressed by your being consistent with reviews, even if they’re a tad shorter or you read a few less books this month (but we’ll chalk it up to Conageddon…😉). Good luck with your paper!

  2. When karate moms get real! You made me cackle about the money ploy. Don’t worry, that exists in all kid activities, but good for him! Good luck with the paper and IEPs. You got this! And I hope the con was the recharge you needed.

  3. Nine books despite ALL of that is damned good, Shannon! <3 But now that April is here, you can breathe a sigh of relief, I hope. And your classes are almost over! Yay! I hope you were able to absolutely slay that 25-page paper (ooof) and get those IEPs done. Great that the kids are doing well, and it sounds like Lena is thriving academically (good for her!). I know several gals who did and loved track, so hopefully she has a good coach who ensures she stays healthy for it, too (no running injuries or anything). Here's hoping April treats us more gently, and that good things are afoot.
