Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is: Most Anticipated Book Releases for the Second Half of 2023
And now… books!
Fun fact: I copied this as a draft from last year’s post, which was copied from that last year’s post, which was copied from the year before that, and so on as one does. Look, I could pretend to be sorry, but I am not. At all. So I am taking the easy way out, I barely changed definitely did not even change this paragraph! I’ll still link all the books and such, because I am awesome. If you want to see all the 2023 books I added to my TBR, here they are!
Didn’t even change the GIF because… Bellamy.
I also only used books with covers, because apparently I am superficial like that. Even four years later, when I first said that. Also, obviously some of these fit in more than one category, so I just… picked one. Also I absolutely forgot some.
The YA Debuts
The Adult Debuts
The Sequels/Prequels/Companions
The New Series
The YA Standalones (includes books that might be series but I am not a psychic, so 🤷)
The Adult Standalones
The Ones I’ve Read (and loved!)
(Reviews for all these- and more July 2023 books- coming soon!)
Wow! You have a lot of books to look forward to!
I’m going to look up The Spirit Bares Its Teeth (you know when goodreads is back up) because I like the look of the cover.
Duuuude, the Goodreads Coma was AWFUL! So glad it is back (and that I finished this post- barely!- before it went down!)
Wow. You’ve done your homework. Do you usually make a big attempt to read all these debuts?
My TTT list
I do! The books I listed here are ones I HAVE for review, or WANT for review bwahaha- and I always read them if I request them, so I shall! I think I have… 9 of them for review, so I will at least read 9 😂
So many interesting books here to look forward to reading!

I hope you like all of them. 🙂
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
I was so frustrated by the second American Royals book that I never read the newer books. Perhaps I may return to that world.
SAM I just finished the series and you will love it I think! The third book was back to awesome, and then the 4th was wonderful too! I hope you do go back into it, because it is VERY good (and feel-good, which I know you like, while still tackling some harder issues)
I definitely want to get The Unmaking of June Farrow. I actually haven’t heard of most of the books on this list though! Some of the YA ones (though I’ve found I’m not as interested in YA these days). Definitely going to bookmark this post to delve deeper into the ones that catch my eye! Thank you for such an exhaustive list (even if it recycles a format, why fix something that aint broke right?) hahah
I’m excited for The Vampires of El Norte – I loved The Hacienda!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
So many good books – I don’t know where to start! I definitely need to add some of these to my TBR!
So many beautiful books coming out! I have an ARC of The Death I Gave Him and I can’t wait to read it.
Even though magical realism rarely works for me, I’m still intrigued by The Unmaking of June Farrow. The early reviews I’ve seen have been amazing.
I’ve read THE ONLY GIRL IN TOWN, which was okay, but that’s it from your list. There are some great-looking ones here and a bunch I hadn’t heard of before. Thanks for putting together an awesome list!
Happy TTT!

I bow to you with your release efficiency lol I don’t even know what came out today never mind what’s coming months from now. But now I DO know about these!
Sometimes heroes don’t wear capes bahahaha

Yes. Bellamy. Cue the “whatever the he** we want” lolol
Awesome collages of covers. I didn’t know you read Saga! I love the Ally Condie. I want that just for that cover.
Yep, yep, yep (my comments as I scroll through this list). And I have just about every single book on the Adult Standalone section already on my TBR! It really is going to be an amazing second half of 2023😁
It’s been a fairly slow reading year thus far, but I’ve been enjoying the books I’ve been reading (on the whole), so I’ll take that as a win even if I’ve been reading less than I’d like! I don’t have any of these on my TBR, though I do have the first book in a couple of the series: City of Nightmares by Rebecca Schaeffer, the first book in that duology and The Wolf Den by Elodie Harper, the first book in that trilogy.

Wow, what an exhaustive list you’ve put together here. Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/mid-year-book-freak-out-tag-2023/
Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

*shakes fist at all those pretty covers and interesting sounding blurbs*
I’m moving to so tiny a space I’ll have to keep my books boxed under the bed, I do NOT need more on my TBR list. And yet. So pretty. So fun. 😀
Whalefall & Thorn Hedge were the only ones from this giant list that I already had listed. Aaaaand now I’ve added 6 more.
So many good sounding books on here! And hey, I have posts that I kind of copy and paste the updated ones and change one or two words as needed, lol.
