Shenanigans Since Last Time:

I read 16 books this month. Not bad, though I really wanted to finish the last April review book, but alas.

There were a lot of surprises in both directions this month, and I am kind of glad- those 4 stars were getting boring, eh? 😂

Here are some of the loveliest/most entertaining/super helpful/just plain interesting posts I found this month!

Fancy & New Since Last I Saw You!

I love looking at pretty covers! So here are some new ones that I have fallen in love with since our last update!

Pretty covers are pretty.

Things we need to talk about at this juncture:

  • Guysss March is overI don’t love March, because it is long. It’s nearly five full weeks of no vacations, no excitement. So girl bye. What is happening next? Well. Apparently I am going back to school, so that should be… something. As though I am not already time deprived bwhaah. And, in less than a month, I’ll be headed to Europe so that is awesome. And, Easter break is in less than a week, which means a break, a much, much needed one at that. Hopefully I can catch up on blog posts and comments and such.
  • What have I done this month other than nothing and/or complaining about said month? Well, I have been doing a lot of Duolingo, I think it is my new quasi-obsession? I just hate to be “that” American who can’t ask for the bathroom or use manners, you know? The bad news is, I now have way too many languages swirling in my head, so I may not be rude in English, but I very well may start speaking Portuguese at some German folks 🤷
  • I also am all caught up on The Last Of Us. Who else loves it? Huge fan here. And now Yellowjackets is back, yay! I do have a  new Shows post in the works, so we can chat in depth about our faves (or in some cases, our not-faves heh).

Have a great April, loves! Let me know how your month was! Looking forward to anything coming up?

  1. EUROPE! I’m so excited for you to have an actual break with a change of scenery and culture and joy. <3
I've *got* to start The Last of Us. And Yellowjackets. Just….only during the daytime.

That's so many books, and look at you, having the first quarter of the year be mostly 4+ star books! Wahooo!

    • Aw thank youuuu! I am so glad to just… not be at work, tbh 😂 But am very much looking forward to new places and such too!

YESSS you really do need to start them! HA I mean I suppose if you scare easy, then yes daytime is a good plan. They’re both prettty messed up shows!

Yeah I am a little concerned at how good the reading year started, but luckily there were a few big ol’ duds coming up for April. Is it weird that I am glad? 😂

    • Aw thanks, I will definitely share pictures! So I liked the Ness Brown book… but then I didn’t like that we basically have no idea what happens? So that is my issue. I am writing my review right now and that is pretty much what it will say bwahha. Like if it was going to be a series, cool, but as it stands, I am a little mad that I don;t know stuff!

  2. I loved The Infinite Miles and I adored Myriad. I have an ARC of A Second Chance for Yesterday that I still haven’t started. Time travel for the win! 😃

“Apparently I am going back to school, so that should be… something. As though I am not already time deprived bwhaah. And, in less than a month, I’ll be headed to Europe so that is awesome.”
At school? Now you have me curious! And yay for your Europe vacation – any chance you’re going to touch my home turf (that would be Italy)?

    • Oh YAYYY I am so glad to hear that you loved them! They are two I have been SO excited for!

Ah, sadly, no Italy this time! My son is very sad about that fact, but alas. I’d love to go back sometime though, I quite enjoyed Italy!

  3. I haven’t heard of any of the books you received lol So I look forward to hearing about them! As always, I trust your reviews!

It sounds like you have a full and exciting few weeks coming up! I hope you have a great time in Europe!

I have the last episode of The Last of Us but I have to admit…I don’t love it. I think it’s kind of boring. But I did play the game years ago and LOVED it. I just wanted more zombies in the show, ya know?

    • Awww thanks! That makes me happy! And thank you, I will definitely share pictures and such!

So I feel like if I had played the game and knew what was coming I may have been bored too? So I can definitely see that! I actually was kind of glad it was a little less zombie-heavy, but I know most people probably don’t agree. Sorry it wasn’t a win for you, but glad you liked the game at least!

  4. Really curious about Scourge Between the Stars. You’ll have to let me know how it was. I want to read Myriad and Chlorine, and Antimatter Blues sounds fun also.

What’s up wih school?? And yay for Europe naturally. Are you coming back? I probably wouldn’t.

    Have you started Yellowjackets ??

  5. You’re going back to school as a student? That’s exciting. What language are you studying? (More than one?) My German was decent until my grandfather died. Nobody else spoke to me in German.I hope you read the Cat Shook book because I want to know how it is

  6. Thanks so much for mentioning my post!

Also, I was very impressed by the reasonable amount of books you acquired this month! Personal growth INDEED!

And where are you visiting in Europe? And when? I assume you’re going to Germany because of the German comment, but I’m so excited for you and want to know ALL THE DETAILS!

  7. I am so behind! Is Bloglovin working for you? It’s how I saw new blog posts, and it’s not working for me. Anyway – EUROPE?? How exciting!! Lucky you getting an ARC of Camp Damascus. That’s on my wish list. Hope it’s a good one.
