My birthday giveaway winner decided I should get Polaris Rising! So I did! Greg decided I should buy The Gone World, so again, I complied. And Nowhere On Earth was a complete impulse buy but… no regrets!
Fever King was free, The Test I pre-ordered, and Midwife and Star-Crossed were Daily Deals!
Won/Gifted/Traded:
Hugest of thanks to Holly @ The Fox’s Hideaway and Wednesday Books for The Gilded Wolves, Penguin for The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe, and the lovely traders that helped me obtain these others!
Shenanigans Since Last Time:
I read 8 books this month. ‘Twas slow, but eh, I was crazy busy.
This was a fairly good month. I think. I don’t know, I feel like I was flying through books early on, but then with moving and such, I slowed down so I don’t fully remember it all?

Fancy & New Since Last I Saw You!
I love looking at pretty covers! So here are some new ones that I have fallen in love with since our last update!
Look at all the pretty colors, woooo! And I know tie-in covers are usually meh but… do you see the front-and-center Ricky Whittle? I will buy it just for him. Lincoln kom Trikru will always have my heart.
Things we need to talk about at this juncture:
- While the Game is on hiatus, you can catch my Bookish Games interview! Because you clearly don’t get enough of me here, you should want to seek me out elsewhere. Plus, it may motivate you to play 😉
- I am so tired, guys. Between moving, and being sicker than I can remember being in a long time (flu and bronchitis, woo), I am kind of dead. Add to it that I overbooked my blog, had too many review copies for the same couple of weeks, and actually have had a full week of work… gross, it’s all gross. So if I owe you blog visits, I’m good for them, I am just… slow.
- Speaking of slow… my The 100 Book One post is on its way! Actually, it was going great until I got sick. I have it all written down, I just need to get it all together!
- Finished The Expanse, and holy withdrawal! Is it Season 4 yet? Now I have to watch some crappy shows, le sigh.
I hope you feel better soon. Sounds like you’ve had a hell of a week! I hate it when I get caught up on a great show. Now the great decision of what to watch next. Any ideas?
Aw thanks! Yeah it has been… A Time™ hah. Ugh good question! I have been really enjoying The Passage, have you tried that one?
Yeah, I’ve been watching the Passage too. Makes me wonder what the books are like but I don’t usually like post apocalyptic.
Ooooh do you like it!? I have wondered too but at this point unless someone tells me differently, I am just going to stick to the show!
Wow, you got a lot of books. Hopefully they’re all awesome! I hope you feel better soon and that March is a calmer month for you.
Aww thanks so much!! ♥♥
I hope you feel better soon, and it sounds like one very busy month. I do hope that March is a bit less stressful. I’ve never watched American Gods but I watch this UK soap opera called Hollyoaks, which Ricky Whittle used to be on, so it’s always fun seeing him in new things. 🙂 He’s a looker, for sure!
Lauren
Aw thanks! I hope so toooo! And YESSS I adore Ricky Whittle- and Lincoln haha. I haven’t watched American Gods either, or read the book, but I would legit buy this just for the cover ?
I’m so excited for Serious Moonlight! I can’t wait to hear what you think!
I hope you feel better super soon! Being sick is no fun! But everyone understands that life and blogging don’t always mesh. The important thing is that you take care of yourself! I hope you have the best month possible in March!
Aw take care of yourself Shannon. ??Sounds like a very intense and exhausting month there…so it’s amazing you got that many books read with all of it going on!! (I love the Serpent and Dove cover so much ajafkdslad and am waiting for my copy of The Fever King with ANXIOUS ANTICIPATION eeeep!!!.)
Ooh you got Polaris Rising. Well done. Come read my review (AFTER you read the book so I can see if you agree with any of my nonsense). And Contagion? *sputter* You gotta let me know how THAT one is. And The Test… hmm. New Sylvain Neuvel.
Love the covers. Especially A Treason of Thorns (wow) and Winterwood.
Bronchitis?? Ack. Hope you feel better soon!!!
Wow sounds like a busy month! But congrats on 8 books! I read only two this month (yikes!) but hope to read more next month *fingers crossed* I’ve heard good things about the Gilded Wolves and hope you enjoy Romanov I am really looking forward to its release!! Great wrap up and good luck with all your ARC reviews 🙂
Sorry to hear you were so ill. Moving is hard enough when you’re 100%. You have so many of my “wish” books up there. I hope you get to read them, and let me know if they are worthy of my TBR. Feel better!
I’m sorry your month was so stressful what with moving and getting sick on top. Get well soon! Hope some good books will tide you over 🙂
Maybe because February is a short month, but mine was super busy too and I don’t know how I read 10 books because I felt like I was never reading and just sleeping every chance I got. I binged watched The Expanse way too fast too. See what happened in my February wrap up
Flu *and* bronchitis? OMG, kill me now. Sounds like it’s going to take a while to bounce back from that. I just read Sam’s review of Zentner’s latest that convinced me to put it on hold at my library. (I don’t think I’ve seen a review from you yet?) And I’m looking forward to Serious Moonlight. I need more Jenn Bennett in my life. 🙂
But are you reading The Expanse? Because the books are sooo much better, and there’s 8 or 9 of them. 😀 (I’m in withdrawlas, too- I’m watching both seasons of Dirk Gently to distract my mind)
I’m sorry to hear you’re exhausted, although it’s understandable. I hope this means the move is over and you can recover, help the kids recover, and start the unpacking at a less chaotic pace. *fingers crossed*
You got such great arcs! And 8 is still a great amount regardless. What did you think of The Last of Her Name?
Look at all the pretty books this month!! I want to read Polaris Rising, as I’m hearing great things about it.
And oh, I just started watching The Expanse… for the third time. Lol. I can’t get enough and the next book in the series is out soon, so I want to bulk up. 🙂
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been so ill! I really hope March goes much better for you! <3
I received Nowhere On Earth last month. I'm really excited to read it, as I loved the author's other book!
Oh no, I hope you start to feel better! My little ones had the flu at the same time. It was a bit of hell week. You got some great books! I also snagged The Fever King, I’m really looking forward to reading it soon. I just ordered Last Of her Name it should be here tomorrow, I hope you enjoyed it.
I hope March is an easier month for you and that you feel better soon!
Tina @ As Told By Tina
Looks like it was a pretty great month. Lots of good books! I loved Rayne and Delilah. Congrats on moving and I hope you’re feeling better!
Ash @ JennRenee Read
Wow, you had a month. I am sorry you didn’t feel well at all and I hope you are recovered and all better now <3 Being ill is never fun and there's nothing slow about reading 8 books in a month because that is still a lot of reading! What did you think of Heroine? Also, I really want to read Polaris Rising and also Romanov sounds so good so I hope enjoy those books x
Awww…sorry you got sick. I hope you feel better soon!! I really need to watch the Expanse! Sounds like a great show!
Yay for birthday purchases. I basically used all of my birthday money for books because, well … books. So I approve of your life choices. 🙂
I read ARCs of The Pioneer, The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe, and The Afterward, all very different. I always buy books/am gifted books for my birthday because that’s basically my wish list composition. Spring in 2 days!!!
