Welcome to the December New Release Giveaway Hop! Which, incidentally, I host now.
I will be giving away any December 2017 new release of your choice, up to $17. The giveaway is international, as long as The Book Depository ships there free of charge (find that out here!) Oh, and if you are a US winner, I will most likely ship from Amazon- because it will be there for you sooner!) If you prefer, I will send a Kindle edition via Amazon gift. (Please note: You may only chose ONE of these options!)
And now, the books!
Ah, December! The slowest book month of the year. I legit had to search for books. Some of these are sequels I hadn’t read the first book of. Some are even new to me! But at least there are choices!! ?
I got a pay rise.
It’s nearly Christmas!
My dad defied the doctors and the odds, and his health took a turn for the better
This year has definitely had its ups and downs, but the best thing that happened is that I moved to Germany to be with my boyfriend! ?
My daughter’s health has improved a lot this year.
My Mum finally (at 84) got hearing aids! No more having the walls shake with the volume level of the tv!
I have gained a better grasp at living on my own and paying my own bills!
This has been a year of new things for my blog and wonderful fun adventures with my family. On the blog I started doing for the first time ever hosting my own reading challenge (Library Love Reading Challenge). I’ll be hosting again in 2018. Also on the blog I started to do discussion type posts, branching out into movie reviews, discovering audiobooks, & Randomness posts. In life we celebrated my son’s 6th birthday at Disney, did swimming lessons for him over the summer, & did lots and lots of soccer things. It’s been a great year!!
My daughter graduated high school this year and was recruited by Case Western Reserve University for their track and field team.
I got married (and survived the wedding planning…barely). Yay! 😀
I graduated college!
My son in law and daughter are pregnant after two miscarriages.
I got to go home to spend a weekend with just my parents, no kids! It was amazing.
My four year old had her third cleft-related surgery on November 1st. 🙂 Next one in February!
I began to learn another language. And passed the exams. XD
Things I am working on seem to be going well, sot that’s a good thing in 2017!
I got an internship in Dublin!
I started college, and really enjoyed my first semester!
The decent thing that happened to me is that I decided to take writing seriously—let’s hope that I keep it up in 2018!
I got to read some great books in 2017!
I finished my university education.
I started a new job in February, almost a year now and I love it so much!
I finally changed my eating habits. I became vegan in 2017. This one of my best life decisions.
I would have to say my husband’s health has began to improve and praying it continues into the new year!!!!!
I got my first job in March and my second earlier this month, I rediscovered my love for reading.
2017’s been my favorite year so far, cz I met and still do lots of wonderful people around the world. Entering booklogger world gets the best of me. :))) it’s such an exciting experience
We got puppies~!!!! My mom finally caved and allowed us to get one this year (but we got three) 😀
I finally decided on a major
I finally sold my house…..but have yet to find the perfect one to buy.
Something good that happened this year is my mother-in-law getting better from her injury.
My family and I found a new place to live in July and in October I received a pay increase at work!
Last night I had a date with my ex-boyfriend (again!). Even though we split 3 years ago we still see each other every once in a while. We both still love each other and fancy each other like crazy. There has been no-one else for either of us. I know it’s not good for me (as he doesn’t want a full relationship again, with anyone in fact) but seeing him gives me a boost. Oh what to do??!!
One decent thing… I wasn’t charged for a bill which would have been expensive for me to pay. (And yes, it was alright, nothing that is going to come back and haunt me later, lol)
My husband had 2 surgeries this year, which wasn’t the good thing…but now he’s doing much better, which IS the decent thing!
Well…I got my favorite job ever in July! Thanks for the giveaway! 😀
Hmm, one decent thing. I got a new job, where I ended up being way happier than in my previous job. I was sort of forced out and left with a lot of resentment, so it was super great and rewarding to end up somewhere where I feel really supported 🙂
The good thing was that I graduated secondary school and moved to the UK for university! And I am SO excited for The Rebels of Gold releasing this month 🙂
I got accepted into Nursing school!
Congrats!
My daughter graduated from college
I went to Switzerland to the United Nations for a conference and met amazing people!
I got a new job!
I only have one semester left of undergrad!
One great thing that happened is I got married this year!
I’m glad that this year wasn’t so bad, no one in my family has sick or hurt 🙂
I bought a new house and sold my old. Thanks for the giveaway!
There were many good things this year, but at the top has to be starting my blog and becoming part of the book community ?
family reunion
Got a Christmas bonus at work!
This has been a really terrible year for me. Due to all of the bad, I have come to appreciate my family and friends who have stayed by my side and been there when I’ve needed them through my crisis. 2018 has to be better! I’m keeping a positive outlook. At least, I’m “trying” to keep a positive outlook! ?
It has been a really interesting year… not necessarily good, but not all bad. There has been some serious family issues this year, but thankfully, almost right at the end, I believe that God is seeing us all through. And THAT is something that I am thankful for!
I moved to a new town & state.
I read way more books this year than I expected to. 🙂
My nephew and his wife had a baby.
