  1. See, you shouldn’t have mentioned random and dog in the same sentence, because you won’t get me to shut up now. I’ll talk about my little furbaby. The dog has flatulence. He also burps, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog do before and it’s not as if he drinks Coke. Where do dogs get all that wind? But he likes to fart while he sits beside you on the couch and he’s aware hes farting too, because even before you realise he’s farted, he starts sniffing the person next to him so it looks like you’ve done it.

So whenever I fart, who the bloody hell am I supposed to blame now?

  2. There are two more July books that are worth mentioning — Under Rose-Tainted Skies by Louise Gornall and On the Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher. ^__^

Are you playing Pokémon Go, Shannon?

    • Ahhh we don’t get Under Rose Tainted Skies until January here, I am afraid 🙁 Which is why I left it off- but don’t let that fool you, because I have already bought it from the UK and have it right here ready to read 😀 (OH and of course, winners can totally pick it. I should really specify this, thanks for that!) Goodreads-ing the other book now!

  3. I’m taking care of my mother seriously ill and i managed to hurt my back when i had to lift her after her fall( and eth weather is grey and rainy …so depressing)

  4. sam

It’s Thursday, which means it’s almost Friday, which means it’s almost the weekend, and that is a great thing. Have a great day!

  5. Maria Malaveci

Really looking forward to Friday and finishing my amazing book – Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

  6. Engi

Also I want to read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child so much I think when I hold that in my hands (HOWEVER I GET IT) I’ll probably fall down dead with excitement and anticipation and not be able to read it. Bookdragon problems. (Yes I follow Cait ha.)

  7. Engi

Oops forgot the comment was supposed to be non-book related! SORRY! Well I am on holiday without my cat; he is at a friend’s amd the other day I Skyped him ha!

  8. Leah Karge

*stares longingly at Gemini and How to Hang a Witch*

The week is almost over, and I can’t wait to have a couple days off to sleep in and read some good books and snuggle with my puppy.

Hope you’re having a good day!

  9. I just took my final exams for my summer classes and I’m pretty sure I didn’t get anything right… Good thing reading a book always makes everything better! =)

  10. My sister and I always talk on the phone while we drive to work. It started out with us just discussing things then became a regular thing lol. Now it feels weird if I don’t talk to her before I get to work.

  11. Amber Terry

There’s one piece of pizza left over from last night and I really want it before anyone else in this house gets it 🙂

Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  12. Judy Cox

It is so hot here in Louisiana, that I have been staying in the house under the air conditioning reading!!!!

  13. Ann

I’m currently sitting at the table that’s between our living room and kitchen. To my right is a little basket full of seed packets– basil, cilantro, peppermint, catnip, wheatgrass (for the cats), marigolds, and so on– as well as four MiracleGro Growable pod things. EVERY FREAKING TIME I see these things I think, “Hmm, I should really plant these seeds.” Yet here they sit. …Yup!

  14. Joana V.

It’s so hot here that my parents decided to cover all the windows in the house with blocks of styrofoam, I mean it works…but at what cost?

  15. Lara M.

I’ve been playing pokemon go for a few days but for some reason I still can’t find my favorite one :/

  16. Linda Romer

Hello Shannon, my poor dog passed away last week. She was 14 years old. She was the best dog and friend. She lived a good life. We miss her.

  17. Red

This week has been pretty bad. I had to call an ambulance for my mom Tuesday morning because she was having chest pains. She’s okay but has been in the hospital since due to gall bladder swelling and a colon infection. They were going to remove her gall bladder this morning but decided against it at this moment and hopefully treat it with medication. Her 39th wedding Anniversary would have been this Saturday if my dad didn’t pass 3 years ago. All prayers would be welcome. Thank you so much for the giveaway. Books are my escape always.

  18. Hello there! Had a rough week at work. I wish I could stand up for myself more whenever I feel like I am being belittled. Sometimes I feel the need to say something about it so thank god there’s the internet for me to rant anonymously. 🙂 Hopefully today, tomorrow and the coming days ahead would be better. I’ll try to keep up with the positivity!

  19. Something random… pretty much everything in my life is random! I was born in Zimbabwe, live in South Africa but am currently spending more time in Indonesia where my husband works. How’s that for random! 🙂

  20. The weather here is so indecisive. One minute it rain so hard, then the next it’s like an oven in here. How’s the weather there?

  21. Amanda Frank

You want random and how everything is going and pets I’ll give you that. Lets see, on Sunday I colored a picture of Dopey and tomorrow I have Stress Relief Adult Coloring Group (Yay!) My state, Wisconsin, currently has over 8 counties under a state of emergency due to major. Thankfully my county, Fond du Lac, is not one of them. I just picked up my 3 holds from the library yesterday, Seasons 3 and 4 of Night Court and Damned Lies and Statistics: Untangling Numbers from the Media, Politicians, and Activists, and I say yesterday because I’m typing this all at 2:30 in the morning while listening to Weird Al on YouTube.

  22. Amanda Frank

I love JAFF and there is actually 3 books coming out this month. They are The Secrets of Netherfield Abbey by Rose Fairbanks, Chaos Comes To Longbourn by Victoria Kincaid and Impertinent Strangers by P. O. Dixon. I have 2 cats, Precious and Angel. They are both 11 and are going to be 12 in September.
Hope this was all random enough for you =D

  23. Amanda Brown

Dinosaurs likely had feathers not scales as commonly perceived. Thanks so much for the chance.

  24. Elle

There are some amazing maid-of-honor speeches on YouTube and I seriously hope I don’t have to do one. But does that make me a terrible friend? :’)

  25. Heather E.

Let’s see…I am dreading doing laundry today. I’m the type of person that lets it pile up to do it all at once, especially since I have to walk down three flights of stairs to get to the laundry room at my apartment complex!

  26. just finished mowing—3 hours riding around and around on a tractor and it’s hotter than crap. Going to finish with a dip in the pool in my undies cause if I go in to change I’ll never come back out

  27. My dog is fine, she is sound asleep on her blanket on her favourite chair, she has had a busy day mooching as we had friends round for lunch which means scraps, also I tried Beetroot and Apple bread today and it was lovely!! Random enough!?

  28. Lily M.

Today it was nice and sunny where I live 🙂 I walked my niece to her preschool. They were doing arts and crafts. It was just for a week, for the summer. How are you doing today? 🙂

  29. Dee

Four wacky cats, six home schooled kids, a hard working hubby, weather hot enough to peel paint…my life at the current time. LOL Nothing exciting. Just exhausting.

  30. Emma Rose

I hate that I woke up this morning thinking it was a weekday(it’s a Saturday)and that I had overslept and was late for my class. Total panic. Plus, watching 8 straight hours of Bob’s Burgers will cause you to dream of nothing but Bob’s Burgers characters and plot lines.

  31. I’ve just started my first blog about books and I’m excited, your blog are one of my inspirations! <3 Now I'm trying hard to squeeze in my time to read, bookstagram, write book reviews, take pictures and watch TV shows. Haha.

  32. Cyndi Flores

So I have 3 dogs, ( people think I am nuts, that is ok with me) I have two small dogs, Bella and Loulou they are a Pomerian and a Pomtise and then I just got a German Shepard puppy not long ago, Zelda. She is eating everything in sight, and driving me nuts!! but I love them all. Thank you for the giveaway

  33. Texas Book Lover

I’m currently laying in bed trying to talk myself into getting up and taking a shower and doing laundry but honestly I’d rather keep laying here!!! It’s supper comfy!

  34. leah

It’s exactly been a year since I met and saw my favorite band live! They’re called twenty one pilots, please check them out, their lyrics are the best!

  35. We just got back from a family reunion with my grandfather, and my head is swimming with stories about all of my dead ancestors (and their neighbors, cousins, and hunting dogs). It was awesome hearing all of Grandpa’s stories, but I think I’m in processing overload right now.

  36. Zara Garcia-Alvarez

I’m a writer, bibliotaphe, stationery addict, penpaller, lipstic junkie, gym beast, wife, mother, and warrior. Aside from that I’m passionately in love with Boston Terriers, ink stamps, and coffee. Books are in there, too. My collection totals 4,000+! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  37. unrelated to books?! Is that even possible!?!! OK, let’s try. I love candles, and one of my fave is one called “Reading at the Cafe”…oops, I guess that’s book-related too! LOL. Just kidding. I’m not athletic at ALL, but I still try my hand at many sports, hoping that it will change.

  38. Jessica Iskey

    Something random?

Let’s see. I still can’t get enough of the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Its been over for about 15 years or so but I still love it!!

Thank you for the giveaway and for participating in this awesome Hop!! ?

  39. Actually, this is brilliant because This Savage Song was the only one I was familiar with, so now I have other books to check out (and likely add to my list).

Also: I’m too tired to sleep.

  40. Ana M

I’m not on vacations but I’m loving this Summer 🙂 Hope you’re having a lovely time as well.

  41. BerkeleyHapa

I went to a tennis tournament last week and even though I put on sunscreen, somehow the BACKS of my hands got burned and so I’m still suffering!

  42. Adreana Hailu

School starts on August 22 and I’m trying to read as many books as I can till then. Because I’m bad at catching up with reading while in school 🙁

  43. Stacy

I have been binge-watching TV shows on Free Form since I sprained a muscle or tendon in my foot. Pretty Little Liars and a new show called Dead of Summer. And as I have been watching, I have been seeing previews for the next Harry Potter weekend, which is this upcoming weekend (to celebrate the birthdays of both HP and JK Rowling). YAY!

  44. Karen Woodard

Being in South Carolina, it is REALLY hot and humid right now. But my cat is cuddling with me for the time being 🙂

  45. Ada

I’m so wishing for winter right now…I know I’m probably one of the only people who hate summer but the winter months can’t come soon enough 🙂

  46. Linda Kish

My dog’s doing all right. He is going to be 15 in August. He’s a miniature pinscher that prefers people food to his dog food. I keep telling him he has to eat his own. We have big arguments over that. Not sure who wins.

  47. Both of my dogs are wonderful! We went to the beach for a couple of days for my birthday, and I missed them terribly. When we picked them up this morning, they were so happy it made my day all over again. They are the best little dogs in the world!

  48. Christina Carolin

I will practically live at my universitys library for the next 2 months. I already dread it! I have two very important papers to write and I fear, I might turn into a hermit. 😛
