Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It gives us a chance to share with readers what we bought, borrowed, swapped, won or got for review each week. This week was a little… insane. I have so many books, I don’t even know where to begin, which is kind of great! Of course, trying to remember/thank all the sources will be difficult, but luckily, I hoard emails as well as books. I actually didn’t get any ebooks this week, so I am breaking down my physical stacks!

Weekly Shenanigans
First and most exciting, I finally made the switch to WordPress! So, please bear with me through any design issues I may have while I try all the fun new features that I now have but will probably mess up while using! Ashley @ Nose Graze has been so incredibly helpful through this process, and if you are thinking of switching, she makes it so, so incredibly easy to do so!
So this week, I read
. Overall, a pretty good reading week! I loved The Willful, not surprising since I loved the entire The Woodlands series, and of course I’ll Give You the Sun was amazing. The 52nd was good too, and I will be reviewing it soon!
On the Blog:
- On Monday, I talked about being easy to please when it comes to books. I loved hearing everyone’s opinions on this! I think it is a pretty general consensus that hey, we just like what we like!
- Tuesday’s top ten list featured “places books have made me want to go”. While visiting other blogs, I was so mad at myself for forgetting Amsterdam!
- This week’s “Waiting on Wednesday” starred Hit by Delilah S. Dawson.
- The Walled City by Ryan Graudin was my “black sheep” ARC review for Thursday.
- On Friday, I flailed about I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson.
Up Next:
I still have three giveaways going on right now! Two of them are international, and one is U.S. only, but there is still about two weeks left for all three!
I am currently reading
which I have been excited for since… I don’t know, years ago! Hopefully it will live up to the amazingness that I have created in my head, but either way, I will let you know!
Anything exciting going on with any of you? Read any great books (or any not-so-great ones)? Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I knew your blog looked different! For a second I thought I might be going crazy! Anyways, looks awesome and I hope you have fun getting adjusted to WordPress and figuring everything out. I don’t think I would ever switch from blogger…simply because it seems like a lot of work, getting to know how to do everything on WordPress and whatnot…No, I am too lazy and not unhappy enough with Blogger to do that. =)
And jeez, you got a lot of seriously awesome books this week! Hope you have another awesome week. =)
I am kind of going a little crazy trying to figure out WP! I know in the long run it’ll be good, but the initial setting up period is time consuming!
You have some really good books on here! I’m so excited about The Young Elites! I hope to read it soon. I still need to read Of Scars and Stardust, Don’t Touch, and Let the Storms Break. Oh, and I really want to read Servants of the Storm too.
Also, I’m glad that the switch to WordPress has gone well for you! Yay for changes and something new. 🙂
Thanks! I am excited about Young Elites too, it *might* be next. I am not sure though, we’ll see! And yes, the change is exciting, I will feel better when I know what I am doing 😉
Your email thingy sent me your last 10 posts today, instead of this one. (Just thought I’d let you know in case this was an error.) I hoard emails too! The Young Elites was really good! Wow, congrats on the contests! 🙂 Welcome to WordPress! I hope Undivided is as good as you hope!
My reading slump continues. I’ve read 19% in a book since finishing Heroes of Olympus. (And I have no clue what I’m going to post this week…) It’s not the book’s fault, I really liked the first Angelbound. (Except this one does have some distracting editing errors. The publisher did say to let them know of any I found since it was an arc. I’ve found 9 so far.)
Ugh, of COURSE it did. WHy wouldn’t my email thing be insane too? The best part is, it didn’t actually send my CURRENT post, just a bunch of old ones. Lovely. Can I physically assault Feedburner somehow? No?
Aw, I am sorry that the slump is continuing! That is awful 🙁 But whoa, NINE errors!? I mean, I get it is an ARC, but 9 in 19% isn’t great! That can’t help a slump! I hope it gets better soon!
Isla! I have a copy but still haven’t read it yet. I hope to soon, though! I got Ann McGuire’s first book in that series and can’t wait to read it!!! I hope you enjoy all you got 🙂
Here’s my STS!
Thanks! I really was surprised by how much I loved the 2B series by Ann Aguirre. I am iffy with NA, but the first book was great! Hope you enjoy it too 🙂
Yay for Let the Storm Break! I really enjoyed that one (possibly more than the first book). Those spines of Don’t Touch and The Young Elites are gorgeous! I wouldn’t mind having my own copies of those. 🙂
Oh, I am glad to know this! I have the first one on my Kindle, unread. I hope to get to it soon. And yes, the spines (and the covers as a whole) are so pretty! I had an eARC of Don’t Touch, but since it is a favorite, I am thrilled to have a signed copy!
So many great books! I’m keen to hear your thoughts on The Young Elites, I’m so excited to read that one!! Annnnd, is it bad that I have yet to read Isla? I wasn’t exactly as excited about it as everyone else seemed to be, so it probably won’t be read anytime soon. Great stack, enjoy all your new books 🙂

I am SO excited for The Young Elites! I read an excerpt, and it was amazing, so I can’t wait to continue. And confession: I haven’t even read Anna yet! But everyone keeps telling me how great they are, so I caved to peer pressure 😉
Woah! EVERYTHING LOOKS SO DIFFERENT! You’re brave. 😉 Braver then me, ehhe. I’m still deciding if I should make the jump or not. Are you finding the setting-up-of-your-posts easy? Everything going smooth? I SHOULD STOP BEING A WIMP AND JUST SWITCH. *nods*
I really need to get back to read Neal Shusterman. Unwind scared me so badly I just ran away from the books altogether, but it was 5-stars. HA! So I need to finish. But I’d need to reread Unwind. It’s depressing how many books I want to read and have no time to start. -_-
Well, things DID go well. Ashley was so helpful, and things were good. And then… I started messing around myself. And I somehow redirected every URL of every post I have ever written. So… yeah. Don’t do that. Just don’t. Because you can’t fix it. Oops? Yeah, I have a lot of revising to do now.
And I know, it is HARD when you have no time. And I think rereading Unwind would be a good idea, though I was pleasantly surprised how much I did not need to reread UnSouled to read UnDivided!
Looking at your books I feel how my TBR pile is growing. Not that I’m complaining but… when I’m gonna read them all I dunno. Happy reading! 🙂
Hahha I feel your pain! That was kind of my exact thought: Oh, my poor TBR pile! But again, not complaining 😉 I will take ALL the books, any day!
Congrats! You jump on WordPress boat. I wonder what’s different and now I finally know why. Great books. 😀
Aw thanks!!
Wow, so many pretties. Hope you enjoy all your books!
Thanks 🙂
Ahh so many books!! I’m so jealous of you! I wish I could be able to receive physical copies when I enter giveaways, but then I’m not usually comfortable giving away my address. And my shelf is crammed with so many books, and my parents would complain a lot! I hope you enjoy your books. I see Isla in your pile, and I wish I could start reading Anna as soon as possible. Great haul! Also, your blog is so pretty. I might visit again to check out more of your lovely posts 😀
Aw, thanks! I feel like I *should* be more wary of giving out my address (especially since I have seen some stuff about stalking recently- so scary) but I am just not. I have very, very little space left on my bookcase, I am going to have to find room for another one soon!
I always dread posting my physical stacks, since I always wait until I have a good lot to show in one, but ugh, it takes forever. Congrats on the wins, especially Don’t Touch since I know how much you loved that one. 🙂 I really enjoyed Blackbird as well, I know a lot didn’t, but I just did. I’m thinking of switching but still kind of scared to, I’ll probably leave it for a while before I cave, haha. I’ve read some good ones this week (of course they’re all to do with serial killers, which isn’t a coincidence since I don’t have many review copies for Nov&Dec so MY reads time.) 😉 Happy reading!
The switch is scary, I won’t lie. I just couldn’t stand all the issues I was having, and the lack of options, and how it took me forever just to format one post. I think it was definitely worth it, but I also messed some stuff up, so we’ll see 😉
And yes, I am SO glad to get the signed Don’t Touch. I ADORED that book, and am so glad I’ll be able to put a signed copy on my favorites shelf (when I cave and buy a shelf).
I am actually glad that in a few weeks, I will be done with review books for a bit too. (Never thought I’d say that!) But I have a ton of “me’ books I want to read as well- hope you enjoy your serial killer books 🙂
YAYAYYAYA YOU SWITCHED. I already commented about that already but bleh. And LOOK AT ALL THOSE BOOKS! I heard that the Young Elites was pretty good, and also I WANT MESSENGER OF FEAR SO BAD. I’m about to get it on hold at the library even though I have to pay a dollar.
You have to pay a dollar to hold a book!? That does not seem fair! It is a library for goodness sake, aren’t they, by definition, free? That is annoying. I was SO glad that Messenger of Fear was still left, because I wanted it so, so badly! Hope you can get it soon, and without paying that silly dollar. You don’t even get to keep the book!
I love how many people have The Young Elites on their lists today! I am excited to see how people are loving it, I just started it!
Missie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
I am so excited for it! I am actually contemplating whether I should start it now.. I have too many choices, which is a good thing, but still! Hope you love it!
Oooh Of Scars and Stardust and The Young Elites! Can’t wait to see what you think of those. 🙂 You had a great reading week! At least in comparison to me. I only read 100 pages…I’m in the worst reading slump. 🙁
I hope you love wordpress, I recently moved too, and it’s so good!
Wow! You got so many amazing looking books. I’m dying to read The Young Elites. I have an ARC of Don’t Touch I need to read. I’m also dying to read I’ll Give You The Sun. Anyway, I’m so book envious!
