Top Ten Tuesday is a feature over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is “Top Ten Characters Who X (you fill in the blank — examples: piss me off, are the popular kids, are bookish, would be my bff, that stole my heart, etc. etc.)”. I decided to go with Top Ten Characters Who I Wish Were Real. For whatever reason, these characters would make some pretty amazing actual humans that I would want to spend time with in some capacity. These aren’t really in any order. I was starting in an order, and Number One is definitely my number one, but that all kind of got lost along the way.
10. Katniss Everdeen- The Hunger Games trilogy. She is the Mockingjay. Sure, I’d follow her anywhere. I fell in love with her character in the first chapter, and I never stopped.
9. Jules- Revenants series. He was witty, and charming, and I wanted more of him at every turn.
8. Bryn- Apocalypsis series. This girl was a machine. But she was also real, and funny, and emotional. And I’d want to hang out with her so we could joke around one minute, and she could defend me the next.
7. Adele- The Dwellers series. Honestly, I loved so many characters from this series, it was hard to choose. But Adele, she had that extra “something” that made me want to root for her time and time again.
6. Roar- Under the Never Sky trilogy. I want to be besties with Roar, forever. He is my favorite “best friend” in any series, ever. So obviously, I’d want him to be mine.
5. Eric Northman- The Southern Vampire Mysteries. Sure, he may be a vampire, but come on. He is basically the most enticing male character ever, especially because now, every time you read the books, you picture Alexander Skarsgård.
4. Darla- Ashfall Series. Darla is basically Wonder-Woman incarnate. I want to be like Darla, and I want her to teach me all the things. She is one hell of a tough cookie, and smart to boot.
2. Tyce- The Sovereign series. Because he is a little bit of everything: Tough; yet caring. Strong; yet vulnerable. And courageous, and selfless, and just all around awesome. I figure we could use more people like him in the world.
1. Peeta Mellark- The Hunger Games trilogy. Because, obviously. He kind of puts every actual human male to shame, no? He will always be my number one book boyfriend, so of course he should be real!
Agree? Disagree? Have your own “wish-they-were-real” characters?
Peeta and Katniss need to be real! I agree 110% But Katniss would have to watch her back, cause I’d probably be stalking Peeta. Haha. 😉
Here is a link to my post if you’d like to see what I picked for this week 🙂
Must Love Books
It would be like, a huge battle all over the place for Peeta! It would be like, the new apocalypse, because girls of all ages would be actually fighting to the death over him!
It would be amazing if Katniss was real. She’s a fantastic, strong character. I love your take on the list this week!
Thanks! She really is just an awesome character all around.
Great idea – I would love to sit down and talk with real Peeta – Katniss might intimidate me a bit! lol
Thanks! ANd yep, that is the problem with my list- having them both be real would not work in my favor!
Oh Peeta, my hearts melts!!!

Mine too. Sigh.
Oh yes, ERIC! *fans self*
Yep, basically! He was my biggest book boyfriend ever… until Peeta came along!
What a great list. 🙂 I’d love to sit down and talk with Eric. Or just stare awkwardly at him. >.>

Yeah, I’d be so ridiculously uncool that he would probably think I had serious issues. And later, after I’d composed myself, I’d die of embarrassment!
Yay for Eric!!! I know this isn’t from a book but I always wished that Jack Bauer was real. Or at least I kinda hope that there is a real Jack Bauer somewhere saving the world all the time.
That would be so nice. I like the thought that there is though!
