“Valentine’s Day: Love it, hate it, or couldn’t care less either way?” I can’t imagine ever really being “into” it!

  2. Alexandra

Somewhere between meh and hate it, depending on how bitter I am about it being pushed in my face. (I’m okay with being single most days but that doesn’t mean you need to rub it in, guys.)

I am really excited about Honor Among Thieves!! But also Tess of the Road has DRAGONS so there’s that.

  3. Haha, I’m also team “meh.” I thought it was fun in elementary school, hated it in middle school and high school, and now I’ve reached the point where I don’t have to have pink shoved in my face all day. ?

It’s fine, but my hubby and I have agreed that it is over priced and prefer to do little things throughout the year.

I used to get really excited for Valentine’s Day when I was younger, because, you know, candy. And also my mom is awesome and would clean my room on Valentine’s Day. Now I’m more meh. Sometimes I’ll try to read a “Valentines Day”-y book, but…not much happens for me on that day. It’s kind of dumb.

I couldn’t care less about Valentines Day if I tired. I don’t eat a lot of chocolate. I just moved out of a house with two other girls so I’m enjoying my solitude, and flowers die. Give people plants… or edible arrangements. lol

  7. I would also have to say I’m pretty ‘meh’ about Valentine’s Day. I don’t much care one way or another. If people want to celebrate, go for it; if they don’t, cool. I don’t usually celebrate, but if my boyfriend wants to do something one year, I’ll go along with it.

Loved it when my mother would give me a Valentines box full of chocolate and a necklace or something! Other than that it’s just Singles Awareness Day.

  9. Mary Davis

We don’t celebrate Valentine’s day actually – mainly because we’re Protestant Christians and it originated with a “saint”! But I love my husband so much and we give gifts to each other throughout the year!! 😀

  10. Valentines Day = totally ambivalent. Simply don’t care one way or another. Such a fuss is made over it and it’s all “prove your love by spending lots o’ money!” Whatever. Tell me I’m pretty and buy me a book. Then we’re aces any day of the year. LOL

This Heart of Mine by C.C. Hunter is phenomenal! I adored this book! There are so many amazing books being released this month and I cannot wait to read them!

My husband and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day. Our son’s birthday is a few days later, and we’d rather spend all of our money on him, lol. We try to go to the beach each year and spend the day. It’s cold, so not too many other people are around. It’s nice.

    Do You Dog-ear?

  12. So many interesting covers! 😀
V-day…I think it’s stupid. Especially since it comes out of the Lupercalia tradition, and I’m not interested in getting pregnant. I have the same Pagan saltiness about mistletoe, too. Personally, if we’re going to have a day to celebrate love, I think it should involve charity work and compassion, not a focus on idealized versions of romance and buying disposable crap from corporations. *shrug*

  13. Valentine’s Day is kind of nice… in a way. I like that it’s a day when even people who don’t usually express their love in a “showy” way have an excuse to do so. As for singles like me, extra reading time at home while everyone else is away?

  14. Sue McCarthy

I love it, have always celebrated it when I was attached. However, I’m on my own now so it doesn’t apply to me anymore 🙁

  15. Stephanie

Valentine’s Day – It’s just a day to remember people you love, right? That’s not such a bad thing in my mind ?

  16. Kate Sarsfield

The only reason I even remember that it’s St. Valentine’s Day is that it’s the day my car insurance is due for renewal!

  17. Amber Terry

I think Valentine’s Day is really sweet, but I don’t care about it one way or the other…you can celebrate love all year round!

(Thanks for the chance to win!)

  18. Jan Lee

I’m more take it or leave it, these days. The only reason I really care about it now is for my little great niece and great nephew.

  19. Jaime Lester

I am definitely Team Meh. Why do people need a special day to show their love? Shouldn’t we do that every single day?

  20. Rebecca

I’m team “meh”, too. Don’t love it, don’t hate it. It’s nice to have a day that celebrates love, but it’s such a commercialised “holiday”. Thanks for the chance, happy reading to you!
