Welcome to the February New Release Giveaway Hop! Which, incidentally, I host now.
I will be giving away any February 2018 new release of your choice, up to $17. The giveaway is international, as long as The Book Depository ships there free of charge (find that out here!) Oh, and if you are a US winner, I will most likely ship from Amazon- because it will be there for you sooner!) If you prefer, I will send a Kindle edition via Amazon gift. (Please note: You may only chose ONE of these options!)
And now, the books!
Ah, February, soooo many books! I personally loved Honors Among Thieves the best of all! Also enjoyed The Belles and Shadowsong!
“Valentine’s Day: Love it, hate it, or couldn’t care less either way?” I can’t imagine ever really being “into” it!
I couldn’t care less. I’ll be spending it with my book boyfriend (whoever he is that day).
I’m not fussed about Valentine’s Day. I prefer to be adored all year round.
Hate it because I’m always single!
I’m usually pretty meh about it too, but getting flowers is always nice.
Somewhere between meh and hate it, depending on how bitter I am about it being pushed in my face. (I’m okay with being single most days but that doesn’t mean you need to rub it in, guys.)
I am really excited about Honor Among Thieves!! But also Tess of the Road has DRAGONS so there’s that.
Valentine’s day is all right. My boyfriend and I will probably go out for dinner and maybe buy chocolate.
Meh….. me and my husband don’t celebrate it.
I am the same meh, I never really celebrate the day. It is a normal day maybe we will cook a nicer dinner maybe not.
Haha, I’m also team “meh.” I thought it was fun in elementary school, hated it in middle school and high school, and now I’ve reached the point where I don’t have to have pink shoved in my face all day. ?
I couldn’t care less about Valentines lol… It’s nice to see all the hearts and chocolate but just not my type of thing XP
It’s fine, but my hubby and I have agreed that it is over priced and prefer to do little things throughout the year.
We don’t celebrate the Hallmark holiday, but I make up for it by eating chocolate every day.
I always look forward to ANY reason to celebrate with chocolate!
Couldn’t care less either way.
I used to get really excited for Valentine’s Day when I was younger, because, you know, candy. And also my mom is awesome and would clean my room on Valentine’s Day. Now I’m more meh. Sometimes I’ll try to read a “Valentines Day”-y book, but…not much happens for me on that day. It’s kind of dumb.
I like chocolate and stuffed unicorns, but other than that I can care less. =P
I couldn’t care less about Valentines Day if I tired. I don’t eat a lot of chocolate. I just moved out of a house with two other girls so I’m enjoying my solitude, and flowers die. Give people plants… or edible arrangements. lol
I would also have to say I’m pretty ‘meh’ about Valentine’s Day. I don’t much care one way or another. If people want to celebrate, go for it; if they don’t, cool. I don’t usually celebrate, but if my boyfriend wants to do something one year, I’ll go along with it.
Kind of couldn’t care less but mostly it’s a Hallmark holiday for commercial purposes. Galentine’s day, however, I can 100% get behind.
Really couldn’t care less
Don’t really care either way ?
I don’t like the pressure on couples to spend money. But I am a fan of commercial free romance ☺
Loved it when my mother would give me a Valentines box full of chocolate and a necklace or something! Other than that it’s just Singles Awareness Day.
We don’t celebrate Valentine’s day actually – mainly because we’re Protestant Christians and it originated with a “saint”! But I love my husband so much and we give gifts to each other throughout the year!! 😀
LOL, I’ll join you with team “meh.” My family sometimes celebrates it, sometimes not. Usually we just end up getting chocolate, so that makes it more fun. 😉
Valentines Day = totally ambivalent. Simply don’t care one way or another. Such a fuss is made over it and it’s all “prove your love by spending lots o’ money!” Whatever. Tell me I’m pretty and buy me a book. Then we’re aces any day of the year. LOL
don’t care
Valentine’s Day is sweet, I better get some chocolate and books!
This Heart of Mine by C.C. Hunter is phenomenal! I adored this book! There are so many amazing books being released this month and I cannot wait to read them!
My husband and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day. Our son’s birthday is a few days later, and we’d rather spend all of our money on him, lol. We try to go to the beach each year and spend the day. It’s cold, so not too many other people are around. It’s nice.
Do You Dog-ear?
I personally could care less unless. Its cold out, not like you can do much in -35C weather anyways
Thank you for the opportunity, Shannon!
Personally, Valentine’s excites me–probably because I’m still in high school and there’s so much going on. 😉
I could care less for Valentine’s. Even when I was part of a couple, I was not into it.
So many interesting covers! 😀
V-day…I think it’s stupid. Especially since it comes out of the Lupercalia tradition, and I’m not interested in getting pregnant. I have the same Pagan saltiness about mistletoe, too. Personally, if we’re going to have a day to celebrate love, I think it should involve charity work and compassion, not a focus on idealized versions of romance and buying disposable crap from corporations. *shrug*
I couldn’t care less-my husband and I really do not celebrate it
I couldn’t care less. I enjoy the chocolates/candy, but don’t really celebrate it.
I love all the holidays. We usually go out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants!!
I don’t really care about it.
I really like an excuse to go out on the town for a nice meal/drinks, so I love Valentine’s….but it’s usually more of a “Galentine’s” if you know what I mean. ?
Valentine’s Day is kind of nice… in a way. I like that it’s a day when even people who don’t usually express their love in a “showy” way have an excuse to do so. As for singles like me, extra reading time at home while everyone else is away?
I don’t care either way
I don’t really care about it but 13th is my birthday so thats overshadows it quite a bit.
I love it, have always celebrated it when I was attached. However, I’m on my own now so it doesn’t apply to me anymore 🙁
Valentine’s Day – It’s just a day to remember people you love, right? That’s not such a bad thing in my mind ?
The only reason I even remember that it’s St. Valentine’s Day is that it’s the day my car insurance is due for renewal!
I like to celebrate with my husband!
Valentine’s day is just meh for me.. My husband loves me every day of the year and treats me like a queen :))
Thanks so much for the giveaway! Hope you have a good February. I would love to win The Belles!
Valentine’s Day isn’t a huge event around here. Especially when it happens on a work day.
To me, Valentine’s Day is just a regular day. But I like seeing all the flowers everywhere 🙂
I like Valentine’s Day when it’s on a weekend and we can make a thing of it.
When it falls on a weekday, it ends up being pretty normal.
I think Valentine’s Day is really sweet, but I don’t care about it one way or the other…you can celebrate love all year round!
(Thanks for the chance to win!)
I couldn’t care less… or Hate it. Something very strange to our/my culture.
I’m always into celebrating things, love to dress up, etc. Love the candy of this holiday. But I have never, not once, actually had a boyfriend for Valentine’s Day.
I’m more take it or leave it, these days. The only reason I really care about it now is for my little great niece and great nephew.
I could care less for Valentine’s 😀 Never celebrated it
I dont really care for Valentine’s either
I am definitely Team Meh. Why do people need a special day to show their love? Shouldn’t we do that every single day?
I’m team “meh”, too. Don’t love it, don’t hate it. It’s nice to have a day that celebrates love, but it’s such a commercialised “holiday”. Thanks for the chance, happy reading to you!
I don’t care about Valentines Day either way.
