Hello, hello! Raise your hand if you are excited for The Glittering Court! ::Raises hand, even though no one can actually see me…:: But yes, I am so excited to read this book, it sounds incredible, and come on- it’s gorgeous! And, thanks to the lovely people at Penguin, four people will get the chance to not only have the pretty book, but a necklace too! (I fully admit to wondering if it’s the one on the cover.) Penguin is kind of like Oprah, you know? Everyone gets a book!

I wanted to take the book on a field trip for photos, but it hasn’t been nice out- but it’s supposed to be nicer, so a photo shoot will be in order! It’s also up next on my TBR, so I will be able to let you know my thoughts soon- plus a few fun extra things!

Want to know more about the book? Of course you do!

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead
Series: The Glittering Court #1
Published by Razorbill on April 5th 2016

A dazzling new fantasy series set in a mix of Elizabethan and frontier worlds that’s dripping with romance from Richelle Mead, #1 internationally bestselling author of Vampire Academy.

Big and sweeping, spanning the refined palaces of Osfrid to the gold dust and untamed forests of Adoria, The Glittering Court tells the story of Adelaide, an Osfridian countess who poses as her servant to escape an arranged marriage and start a new life in Adoria, the New World. But to do that, she must join the Glittering Court.

Both a school and a business venture, the Glittering Court is designed to transform impoverished girls into upper-class ladies capable of arranging powerful and wealthy marriages in the New World. Adelaide naturally excels in her training and even makes a few friends: the fiery former laundress Tamsin and the beautiful Sirminican refugee Mira. She manages to keep her true identity hidden from all but one: the intriguing Cedric Thorn, son of the wealthy proprietor of the Glittering Court.

When Adelaide discovers that Cedric is hiding a dangerous secret of his own, together, they hatch a scheme to make the best of Adelaide’s deception. Complications soon arise—first, as they cross the treacherous seas from Osfrid to Adoria, and later, when Adelaide catches the attention of a powerful governor.

But no complication will prove quite as daunting as the potent attraction simmering between Adelaide and Cedric. An attraction that, if acted on, would scandalize the Glittering Court and make them both outcasts in wild, vastly uncharted lands. . . .

Also! There is a fabulous pre-order incentive and giveaway opportunity happening now through April 4, so check that out too! (Can you imagine how shiny the finished copy will be!? ♥)

  1. I’m actually pretty excited for this book! It sounds like something new, that Richelle Mead hasn’t really attempted before! 😀 So I’m excited to see how it all pans out 🙂
Thanks for hosting the giveaway, Shannon! 😀

  2. Ah that’s too bad it’s US only. I am so excited for this book! It sounds really good and I enjoyed all of Richelle Mead her books that I read so far. I hope you’ll enjoy this one and I am looking forward to your review and the photo shoot.

  3. I am excited for the Glittering Court! I loved Vampire Academy and Bloodlines by Richelle Mead, but I didn’t like Soundless unfortunately, like many readers. I really hope I’ll end up loving this one, it sounds so promising and it has this historical feeling to it, so I’m quite intrigued. It seems like Richelle Mead is attempting new experiences with her new books, I hope she’ll successfully do it. Also, the cover is beautiful, so I must have it! 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway, even if I don’t live in the US and don’t get to participate, haha. 🙂
