I am thankful for the books in general. They provide me with cheap entertainment and an escape from every day life. I have also been able to connect with my blogger-daughter by reading many of the books she reviews. A recent read, which had me captivated, and I am therefore thankful for, was Passenger by Alexandra Bracken.

  2. I am so, so, so thankful for To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I can’t say how much that book has helped me and now I’m passing on the lessons to my sister and basically everyone I know so yeah. I’m rambling now so I’ll stop haha.

Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier, it’s my favorite book ever and it changed me. I’m thankful for this book every day.

  4. I am thankful for my family and also that I can afford some books I want 🙂
recently I’m thankful for a clash of kings that a friend gave me 😀

  5. i’m thankful for all teh books in the universe^^ but one that really helped me when i was in need and so for which i’m especially grateful is moon called by patricia briggs

  6. Is it too cliché to say Harry Potter? What about ALL MY FAVORITE BOOKS? Hmmm. I’m grateful for the Sevenwaters trilogy, because I can read them over and over and still end up with a book hangover. I’m also thankful for The Lord of the Rings, because I bonded with some of my best friends over it. 😀
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  7. I am so thankful for all the Roald Dahl books, Rick Riordan books, and the Harry Potter series. Seriously, those three authors/series are my childhood. They got me into reading and where I am today.

  8. Oh I have noooo idea which book YOU’D be thankful for Shannon. Definitely not The Hunger Games. PFft. I know how much you hate that series.
*dies laughing at own incredibly lame jokes* BUT SRSLY NOW. MAGGIE STIEFVATER BOOKS FOR ME. <3 I'm thankful for them all. *happy sigh* And that was completely predictable right?!?!?
If I won I'd probably choose Forget Tomorrow! 😀

I will forever be thankful for Twilight. It was the very first book I’ve read and it got me into my love of reading. I’m also thankful for every book. They bring me much needed happiness. Thank you so much.

  10. I don’t think I can say it better than Thomas Carlyle: “May blessings be upon the head of Cadmus, the Phoenicians, or whoever it was that invented books.” Except for adding “…and whoever invented public libraries.”

  11. Mai T.

I’m grateful to have read A Book of Miracles: Inspiring True Stories of Healing, Gratitude, and Love by Dr. Bernie S. Siegel.

  12. Mary G Loki

I am thankful for His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman! His work really made me think! It was like reading philosophy that nags at your brain for a few months.

  13. Shelby

I’m thankful for every book! lol. I’ll say Jane Eyre because it’s the first book I remember reading and loving. It’s probably what got me hooked on books.

  14. Silver

I am thankful for ‘a song of ice and fire’ series by G.R.R.Martin ! i disappear completely when i read em into his world

The book series I am most thankful for is The Hunger Games. It sounds cliche, but it changed my life. Without it, I wouldn’t have started hiking, blogging, writing again, or found the wonderful friends I’ve made through the fandom and book communities. I’m seeing Mockingjay Part 2 tonight and just feel hollowed out that it’s over and so proud of what it’s become.

  16. I’m thankful for The Wicked and the Just by J. Anderson Coats. I loved Cecily from the very first paragraph and really enjoyed seeing her opinion change (and watching her adapt) as the lifestyle she’d always known was pulled right out from under her. When the going got tough, she got tough, too. Took a while, but she grew up and became a better person than she’d ever been. Loved the setting (medieval Wales), loved how flawed Cecily and Gwenhwyfar (her servant) both were, and how they learned from one another (even though they were super-stubborn). Great debut, and I am so glad I found it at the library!

I’m thankful for the Divergent series. Before I read them, I hadn’t really read anything in many years (I had been in university, then had 3 children in less than 3 years and no time or energy to read). Divergent set off that spark that I used to have when reading a book, and I couldn’t put them down. I read the series in its entirety in 6 days.

I am thankful for The Anatomical Shape of A Heart by Jenn Bennett. Most of the books I’ve been reading this year are all sequels or new books from my favorite authors so I’m thankful that I get to discover a new author to love again this year ♥

  19. I’m thankful for all the books in Harry Potter series! If those books didn’t exist, I probably won’t like reading as much as I am now. Anyway, thanks for the giveaway!

  20. I ADORE the Air Awakens series. Excited for a chance to win a copy of Fire Falling. I already read it but it would make a great christmas present for a friend!

  21. I am one of those people who don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but you’re right, we can always be thankful! I am so thankful for my friends and family who are always there for me when I need them to be <3 I am also thankful for the book blogging community because they make me feel so happy, and not alone, and accept all my book geekiness! I have read Ten Thousand Skies Above You which I loved and also the Anatomical Shape of a Heart <3 Such good books! WINTER is just waiting for me to dive into 😀 And as for Soundless, that's one I want to try!

  22. I am incredibly thankful for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. When that book came out, I had been in a really tough situation for a long time. I hadn’t read a book in a long time, and I had no motivation. But when HP hit stores, I decided I wanted to try it out. And that book got my reading juices flowing again, and helped drag me out of a really bad place. I have read each of the books in the HP series multiple times, and seen the movies multiple times. I will continue to reread and rewatch, and they will always have a special place in my heart!

  23. Ana M

I am thankful for Harry Potter, Franny and Zooey and Pride and Prejudice. In different ways and in different moments, all of these changed my life 🙂

  24. BookAttict

I’m grateful for The Great Lenore by J.M. Tohline, the Chronicles of Elantra series by Michelle Sagara, the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews and anything written by Anne Bishop.

  25. Kanoko

I’m thankful for the entire I-Team series created by Pamela Clare, but mostly for Dead by Midnight, which saved me from a pretty long and deep book slump a few weeks ago.
