Welcome to my very first monthly recap! In truth, I decided to do one this month for two reasons: First, the start of the month fell on a Monday, so it worked for me; and secondly, I didn’t feel like writing any reviews and decided I would have more fun taking pictures and making goofy graphics.
I won’t bore you with blog details, since you can easily look at those on the side. No, I will tell you what I read and such! I was going to tell you what went on in my life, but then I came up kind of empty, which I think is probably a good thing 🙂
I had a really, really good reading month. It’s hard to pick a favorite, really! So, ala an 80’s high school yearbook… superlatives!
Most Disliked: City of Heavenly Fire. Just… meh.
Most Adored: The Wanted, One Past Midnight, Grunge Gods and Graveyards (see, I knew I couldn’t just pick one!)
Biggest Shock: Dangerous Girls. Holy crap.
Most Fun: Denton Little’s Deathdate. So. Freaking. Adorable.
My (Hopeful) TBR. It may not look like much, but I have so many books pre-ordered that well, it will be a challenge.
I’m so jealous of the book you have; they’re a lot! I’ve always wanted to read Dangerous Girls and One Past Midnight since I’ve seen them everywhere. This is such a lovely post 🙂 I hope you enjoyed the books you read and enjoy the ones you will read. Looking at these books make me want them so bad! x Happy reading!

Thanks so much! I really enjoyed both of those, so I definitely recommend!
Really cool idea! I’m happy that you had a great reading month 🙂 Great to see that The Fifth Wave is on your September TBR, really looking forward to your opinion! I also heard a lot of great things about Of Metal and Wishes, More Than This and The 100, so I hope you enjoy those, too 😛 My most anticipated September release is probably Heir of Fire, which already got shipped to me, but Falling Into Pieces and Survival Colony 9 sound awesome, too. Happy reading 🙂
I will definitely post a review when I read it! I am hoping I get a chance, since the sequel will be out. I figure even if I read it slowly, I should be able to get it in! Have you watched The 100 TV show? I am addicted! And I have never watched the show or movie without first reading the book, plus the sequel for it is coming out too!
Hope you enjoy Heir of Fire! Yay that it is on its way, that is always the best feeling 🙂
My books are all on my Kindle, so I couldn’t do something like this. That’s kind of sad. My TBR pile is more in my head (or on Goodreads) than in my house! It keeps my life neater, but it doesn’t make for very interesting blogs about what I’m reading.
Oh, you could! For my Kindle books (since that is where all my review books are basically) I just make a little collage with the covers, and then use that!
I love this idea! I do monthly recaps of a sort, but I’ve never thought to include a list of the books I read that month. I think my most anticipated September release is I’ll Give You The Sun I am just so so excited to read it! =)
Thanks! And I know, that one sounds SO good! Ugh, how will I not go bankrupt, for real!?
You have A TON OF GREAT BOOKS FOR SEPTEMBER! I look forward to your reviews of More Than This and also Vivian Vs. The Apocalypse!
Thanks! Fingers crossed that I can actually get to them in a timely fashion 😉 I have been so excited about them for so, so long though that I really need to!
I’m interested to knwo what you will think of The 100 😛 Did you decide to read it because of the CW show? Also, I really want to try out Islands at the End of the World. I read Zoe’s review of it and I was enamored how it was apocalyptic and focusing more on family love than anything else. I’m practically drooling thinking about it!
