April showers were supposed to bring May flowers where we live, but it seems like most of the US didn’t get the memo. Hopefully spring shows up in full force soon! In the meantime, keep those discussions coming so that we have plenty to keep us busy while we’re waiting.
The winner of our March discussion challenge link-up was Jessica @ a GREAT read. She won a book that celebrates women in some way and chose Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake. Enjoy your read, Jessica!!
If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more!
Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there’s lots of great discussions going on!
We’re no longer giving discussion ideas each month (because not that many people seemed to need them), BUT you can check out our list of the topics we’ve suggested over the past two years if you need some inspiration. There are LOTS of ideas there, and I’m sure you’ll find one you love!
This month’s featured blogger (as chosen by Nicole & Random.org) is Lory @ Emerald City Book Review. Lory has been with this challenge for a long time and has posted many fantastic discussions.
Here are just a few of Nicole’s favorites:
(Commenting on any of Lory’s discussions will give you extra entries in the giveaway, by the way—if you already commented on them when they went up originally, that counts too!)
The change of seasons is on most of our minds—those of us in our half of the globe are itching for spring, while I imagine those of your on the other side of the world are getting ready for fall. Let’s make this month’s giveaway seasonal. You can choose any book with a seasonal theme. That can mean lots of things: seasonal images on the cover (flowers, fall trees, winter snow, summer beaches, etc.) or something with a seasonal word in the title … or maybe you can come up with something else that ties a book to the seasons. We’re really not picky, so if you give us a reason, we’ll go with it!
As always, the giveaway is open to anyone that The Book Depository ships to (or, if TBD doesn’t ship to you, you could choose an ebook!) up to $17 value.

Make sure to link up all of your May discussion posts here. This linky and the May giveaway will be open until June 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are). If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please).
