Welcome to the October monthly link-up for the 2017 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight!

So, it’s officially fall here in the Northern Hemisphere! (Southern Hemisphere friends, I am looking at you with tons of seething jealousy.) Anyway, I guess that means stuff like pumpkin spice everything, and leaves in the north at least, and Halloween if that happens to be your thing.

The winner of our August discussion challenge link-up was Kel @ Booked Til Tuesday! She chose a pre-order of Renegades by Marissa Meyer! Hope you love it when it gets there!

If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more!

Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there’s lots of great discussions going on!

We’re no longer giving discussion ideas each month (because not that many people seemed to need them), BUT you can check out our list of the topics we’ve suggested over the past two years if you need some inspiration. There are LOTS of ideas there, and I’m sure you’ll find one you love!

Looking for even more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight!

Featured Blogger(s!)

This month’s featured blogger (as chosen by Shannon & Random.org) is Krysta @ Pages UnboundKrysta always has unique and thought-provoking discussions happening! Here are just two of them!:

(Commenting on these will give you extra entries in the giveaway, by the way—if you already commented on them when they went up originally, that counts too!)

Since October is often associated with Halloween, so I am taking the easy way out and doing “any scary book”. But look, I don’t know your life, so if you tell me that say, sweeping historical romances scare you, then I will totally believe you 😉

As always, the giveaway is open to anyone that The Book Depository ships to (or, if TBD doesn’t ship to you, you could choose an ebook!) up to $17 value.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Make sure to link up all of your October discussion posts here. This linky and the October giveaway will be open until November 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are). If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please).

Go forth and discuss!

  1. love this idea of being able to open up to other bloggers and discuss! Just added a new post involving fall weather and how it relates to book choice! really fun! Not so into scary book though… have you read any that are good?

    • Aw thanks!! I will be checking it out soon, I have been swamped with my event, but SOOOON! I have NOT read many good scary books! Which is why I am hoping that some people have suggestions. I find that they never actually… scare me? Dangerous Girls is a really good mystery-type if you’re into those at all though!

      • No worries! I just don’t want my co-blogger to think I am absconding with her post. 😉 Our new format doesn’t put the bylines on the side for some reason so we have to add our names to the bottom. If we remember. I’m sure I must have not added it at some point. It’s annoying. But I am rambling.
