Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is: Ten Hidden Gem Books in X Genre: Pick a genre and share with us some books that have gone under the radar in that genre!
I figured I’d just look at some books that seemed to fly under the radar, check Goodreads to make sure I was right, and then pick from the ones I rated 4.5 Stars or more. And that is how I found these books to share with you! I feel like you should read them all because I loved them all. Sound good? Great. Here we go!
Oh, and covers link to Goodreads!! ?
I don’t think I’ve seen “Disruption” around, but ohmy! That cover makes me curious. I’ll have to look that one up. 🙂
Though I’ve heard about Courtney’s books, I never did pick any of hers up. Perhaps I should. I do have “Truest” (totally seems underrated!) and “Don’t Touch” (again, I *never* see this one on lists/blogs) on my shelf. Both are books I’ve been interested in for a long time, so I have to ask myself: WHY HAVE I READ THEM! *asks every bookworm at some point* 😉
Dare you to read Truest. 😉
(Hugs from the author!)
Disruption and Afer We Fall look awesome (because you know I’m shallow and covers are all), but that green on After We Fall just draws my eye. Down With The shine was one I was gonna read but didn’t… is that blue the moonshine in the story (like magical shine)? It kinda makes me thirsty and I don’t even know what it is…
Some Fine Day- love the cover!!!
I’ve read Titans and Return Once More! These books definitely deserve more attention!
As usual I can spot so many books on here that I want to read. Your lists are dangerous for my TBR! I really want to read The Lies About Truth!
Phantom Limbs was on my list earlier this year (and I linked to it today), because I LOVED it! Sadly, still under 1000 reviews on GR, but I hope more people have read it. It was such a lovely book, and Otis just stole my heart. Mathieu is always a winner for me, and I have another 4 of these on my shelf. I hope to get to them soonish. Great list!
I haven’t read any of these books, and I’ve only heard of like two of them, so they’re definitely hidden 🙂 There are a lot of pretty covers though, so I’m probably going to have to look into several of these.
YAY FOR DISRUPTION!! That one is honestly criminally underrated. It’s so so good. ?? And also really really want to read Phantom Limbs and kind of unsure why I haven’t yet. ? And also I loved Grunge Gods and Monsters! And her other book Dead And Breakfast (I mean c’mon that title, right? It’s so me).?
Oh nice! I STILL need to read Titans! I was supposed to get an ARC of that last year, never did, so it’s taking me wayyyy too long to get around to reading that finished copy I bought! LOL! Still want to read Down with the Shine! Very nice picks!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I LOVED the Truth About Lies. I think it was in my top three the year it came out. I have a couple of these on my shelves – Nora & Kettle, Phantom Limbs and Truest. Great picks 🙂
I’ve Flashfall on my shelf… still to be read. I’m culprit. I got it a FairyLoot box and I was sure that it was going to be quite popular, but looks like it didn’t. I never see it around.
Down with the shine is on my goodreads list of “to-read”. And you’re totally right. It’s another book that I never see around, not even a little details or super short review.
I SO want to read Down with the Shine and Sweet Madness – glad to see you really enjoyed those. 🙂 I love this topic!!

I’m pretty sure I own Grunge, Gods and Graveyards as well as Moon Dwellers. I really need to figure out what is lingering on my Kindle. I also really wanted to read Down With the Shine as well. Wonderful list.
I’m pretty sure Nora & Kettle has been on my TBR list since before it came out. I’m such a slow reader! I swear I’ll get to it someday.
I loved Down with Shine. Her books aren’t talked about enough. I really want to read The Lies about the Truth though. Its on my TBR.
I guess this is where I have to admit that I *STILL* have not read Return Once More. Gah! What is wrong with me? (That is a rhetorical question. Please do not feel led to answer.) I see it, remember that I’m dying to read it, see something shiny, then forget it again. Story of my reading life…
It is interesting to see Titans by Victoria Scott on hear. I have seen this book around but rarely see people reading it.
Anyway great list!
Geez, here obviously
Ouuuu I have You Were Here on my Kobo. I honestly have no idea what it is about. I think I just bought it because it was on sale one day. I haven’t been able to decide on a book to read this week, and seeing it on your list is pushing me to pick it up. 😀
Ooh, fantastic list! I’ve actually had a copy of Disruption sitting around my room for a while, but I haven’t picked it up for some reason — seeing it on this list reminds me I want to do that soon! Don’t Touch and Forbidden sound particularly intriguing — I can feel that my TBR is going to be growing… Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Aw, I hate that I haven’t heard of any of these! I guess that’s why they’re called hidden gems, though, lol

Yay more people need to read Return Once More! It was goooood.
I’ve heard of most of these but just never got around to them haha.
I haven’t read any of these, though Down with the Shine is on my TBR list. I’m like you; I have to check Goodreads to see if a book really flies under the radar or not. Although…I feel like there are different levels, or ranges, of exposure, and a lot of books fall in this medium range? Then you have the few mega-hits and the few practically invisibles?
Wow, you were the third person to recommend Don’t Touch this week! It’s on my TBR list, but now I’m thinking I should read it as soon as possible. 🙂
Here is our TTT
Ooh they’ve recently gotten Flashfall in at my library and I thought it looked interesting so I’ll probably pick it up now!
Andddd now I have about a million tabs open to read about all of these. 😀 The only one I’ve heard of is “Sweet Madness.” I recently read a book about Lizzie Borden that I did NOT like, so I wonder if this would be the perfect one to cure that. Anyway, off to add these to my TBR!
The Moon Dwellers and Down with the Shine are awesome! Great list!

I have not read any of these, but I am loving a few of the covers. I will need to check them out. I love how you included some self-published books as well. Great list!!
I’ve never heard of any of these books. Forbidden and the Lies about Truth seem cool !
Thank you for always championing my little debut! Gives me the guts to get back to my WIP!! 🙂
