**EDIT** Apparently, I have no idea what date today actually is, because this is next week’s TTT. Oops? Either my reading sucks, or I am just lost. Sorry. But it’s published now so.. let’s just go with it? Super.

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is: Summer Reads Freebie: In preparation for Memorial Day (which is always the unofficial summer kickoff for me), let’s rec some summer/beach reads: books to go in your beach bag, best books set in summer, books with summer-y covers, best beach reads for people who don’t enjoy contemporary/realistic reads, best beach reads for fans of X genre, etc. etc.

This post is such a cheat, friends. Here’s the story: Lauren @ Shooting Stars Mag, Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction,  Elle @ Words on Simmer and I joined forces (and you know, wallets) to do a giveaway of the gorgeous Juniper Edition of The Hunger Games trilogy. Extra thanks to Lauren for putting this together!

Anyway. That’s the backstory. But I didn’t want to just post a Rafflecopter in a post and call it a day because… well, I don’t know why, you should probably blame my neuroses. So I looked at the Top Ten for today. And I thought… well. We’re giving away three books, so if I give away seven more books… I have ten books that someone can read this summer! Olé!

The Hunger Games Trilogy

Okay, so whoever wins this? I am jealous already. These are like… so pretty I cannot actually stand it. And I mean, even I don’t own them, which is kind of a big deal. But you can! And should. And then like, tag me on Instagram when they come so I can live vicariously, okay? Thanks a bunch.

U.S. Only, sorry loves! (Shipping would be out of hand, unfortunately.) Ends June 3, 2017

 The Other Seven Books

I legit just went to my bookshelves and grabbed seven books. BUT I did like the ones I have read. I have duplicates though, and I don’t need duplicates. So… here is some info about them!

And Then There Were Four by Nancy Werlin (Review coming soon!)

Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves

Wonderful Feels Like This by Sara Lövestam

Holding Smoke by Elle Cosimano

Dark Inside by Jeyn Roberts (I didn’t review it, but I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads!)

Alive by Scott Sigler (My Review)

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead (My Review)

So, for the sake of making things easier for myself, this one will also end on June 3, 2017. And is also U.S. only because I am poor and can you even imagine how much shipping 7 books overseas would cost? I shudder.

So, was this cheating or what? Do you mind? I can’t imagine you do since you can win free stuff. But for shits and giggles, let’s talk about summer books! What summer release are you dying to read? For me, it’s probably Midnight Jewel

  1. What a great list! 🙂 I was confused at first because I thought I had posted the wrong list! Ha. 🙂 I’m looking forward to Emery Lord’s book releasing <3 I do love me some Emery Lord.

  2. Hey check you out giving away 7 books! Woo hoo Christmas in June lol. Seriously though cool giveaway. I think I entered the HG one the other day. Those are very nice looking…

    Yay for summer reads!

  3. It’s never too early to start thinking about the books we want to read this summer 😉 And those Hunger Games editions are absolutely gorgeous so they got me thinking that perhaps it’s time for a re-read this summer 🙂

  4. I love how you did this post! And kudos to you for giving away more books. I’ll be curious to see your review of And Then There Were Four. It sounds really good!

Maybe cheating…but it’s the good kind of cheating no one will ever complain about. 😉 I hope you and those other generous bloggers have a wonderful start of summer!

  6. For me, it is The Midnight Jewel too…but I need to read The Glittering Court and I don’t have it! I have The Midnight Jewel from a friend though, so go figure!
    Thanks for the giveaways!

  7. This is so much fun, Shannon! Don’t worry about getting your weeks mixed up – I’ve been so busy with work these past few weeks I’ve barely been blogging at all which is a bummer, but I’m taking a leaf out of your book and not letting myself feel guilty about it.

  8. So I came to an important (?) realization while entering your contests. Because I never really had any intention of “building an on-line presence” or anything like that, I just signed up for various platforms at different times using different profile names, pictures, etc. So EVERY SINGLE TIME I enter things like this, I have to go over to the specific site and figure out what I’m called on it. It makes me feel like I have multiple personalities or something. Or aliases!

I don’t know if this counts as a summer release, but I’m chomping at the bit to get my hands on Patrick Ness’s new book, which I think is out in the UK but not in the US. Also Our Dark Duet, because I love Schwab, and the latest Attolia book from Megan Whalen Turner.

I love the cute little message you wrote up for the daily tweet. :-p

I wonder how people started saying “for shits and giggles”. Like, did one random person just say that one day and it just kinda caught on..? I mean, ….wut? …Maybe said random person had a friend who said “Let’s go hang out at the mall all day, and not buy anything! You know, just for poos and laughs.” And then this person was shamed by his/her friend (this was probably before the term “frenemy” came around), who probably said something like “Goddammit, what kind of bull are you uttering. That’ll never catch on. *eyeroll* “

  10. Midnight Jewel has such a beautiful cover. I have a copy of The Glittering Court and I NEED TO READ NOW! I haven’t heard of the rest of these books. *dang it, I am losing cool points!* I used to read contemporary over the summer, but now I am hardcore reading fantasy. I could use a break and read something light, but for now, I am going to be reading Six of Crows.

Morgan Matson write lovely summer beachy reads. I like her a lot. And Stephanie Perkins writes sweet stories, too. Other than that, I am not sure what else I could be reading this summer. I just want to read all the things!!! *gestures grandly*

  11. I haven’t seen that set of Hunger Games before — so amazing.
One book I’m looking forward to is The Evaporation of Sofi Snow.

  12. The Hunger Games!!! I’ve been wanting to reread because the movies, occasionally pop up on Freeform && they always deserve a reread tbh. I’ve been tempted to check out Wonderful Feels Like This, simply because I love the author’s last name. LOVESTAM. So cool, honestly. And always, yesyesyes to Holding Smoke. I read it a bit ago and it was so unbelievably wild.
