Welcome to the January 2017 New Release Giveaway Hop! Which, incidentally, I host now.

I will be giving away any January 2017 new release of your choice, up to $17. The giveaway is international, as long as The Book Depository ships there free of charge (find that out here!) Oh, and if you are a US winner, I will most likely ship from Amazon- because it will be there for you sooner!) If you prefer, I will send a Kindle edition via Amazon gift. (Please note: You may only chose ONE of these options!)

And now, the books!

New Year means NEW BOOKS! Yay! So many that I am excited for, or have read- and in some cases, both! I’ve read The Book Jumper, After the Fall, Life in a Fishbowl, Poison’s Kiss, The Alchemists of Loom, The Last Harvestand Wait for Me! And they were pretty much all good (also, I generally don’t put books in the collage that I didn’t like, because.. why? Though to be fair, sometimes they squeeze by if I read them after? But not this time, yay!)

And I am basically dying to read the other books on the list- or in some cases, the first ones if they are sequels because sometimes I fail at that.

Enter here to win whichever of these or any other January release your heart desires! Please be sure to check the terms and conditions :)

Ends January 31, 2017 at 11:59pm EST
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Now hop along to all the other blogs, and thanks for entering! Good luck :)

I’m looking forward to the Coastal Magic Convention in February, Apollycon in March and NOLA Storycon in Spetember.

The problem with this contest not ending until the end of the month is that during The Following month the books I want are more expensive then you’re $17 limit. If you end the contest earlier, I can still get a book published that month for $17.

I am looking forward to several races that I am running (including the Gasparilla Distance Classic in February and the Dark Side Challenge at Disney in April), to the Celebration of Harry Potter at Universal at the end of January, to taking my Mom and Mother-in-Law to see Wicked in February, to seeing the Harry Potter orchestra in February, and so many more events and activities that I have planned throughout the year.

  4. I JUST finished the last season of The 100, thanks to the magic of my library and DVDs. So I’m excited to hear the next season starts soon (maybe I can get it as early as late summer! OoOoOoO….)
Something I’m looking forward to this year is MY WEDDING. Which, I’m looking forward to being over, because it’s taking over all my free time. It’s like having (yet another) job, only it’s unpaid and I have to make 99% of everyone there happy. I’m so over it. How do these brides on TV shows summon the energy to be excited about all of it? To me, the wedding has really nothing to do with the marriage, it’s basically throwing the cheapest party possible that takes into account a bunch of old relatives, out of town friends we won’t get enough time to socialized with, and my own health hurdles. So I guess what I’m saying is, I’m looking forward to MY WEDDING BEING OVER. Then it’ll be planning the honeymoon- much more fun. 😉

I am looking forward to getting back to reading, since the beginning of this year has been so busy and hectic I have not read a book this year!!

  6. Anne C

Looking forward to completing my Goodreads challenge this year. I failed last year’s challenge and it made me feel so incomplete!

  7. Aww thank you for hosting a great giveaway Shannon! You are amazing as always, and I miss you and your blog. It’s been a while since I’ve visited haha. Anyway, I’ve been wanting to read Under Rose-Tainted Glasses, which is a book I’ve read some great reviews of. 🙂 Again, thank you for this! I hope you have a great year ahead and that this month serves you well!

  8. I just realised that I actually have a lot to look forward to this year but my top 3 are: the english translation of the next two (three?) Tokyo Ghoul light novels, Kuroko no Basuke extra game movie, and the Hokkaido trip at the end of the year!!

  9. Kim Holliday

I’m looking forward to hanging out at the pool this summer and taking my 3 y/old grandson to the beach for the first time.

  10. I’m so jealous you are going to ALA. I hope you have a blast! My sister is turning 30 this year and we might be doing a Vegas trip, so I’m excited about that’s. Never been!

I have been binge watching quite a few shows lately. I’m on Hemlock Grove now. Also want to finish up a bunch of book series I’ve started. Cleaning up my Goodreads TBR list and getting rid of those newsletters that want you to sign up for a million authors at once. I want to get down to just my favorites.

  15. Emma A

I graduate college this year! I am super excited to be able to work and not have homework (other than reading books for fun…that’s what happens when you work at a bookshop 😉 ).

  16. Thank you so much for the opportunity! There’s so awesome books releasing in January and I really hope I win! You’re awesome for hosting this!

Thank you for the giveaway! There re so many great titles coming out this month. I have a few of these already, but I’ve heard great things about A List of Cages, and I’m intrigued by The Book Jumper! And I really like the sound of After the Fall after reading your review (which I wrote a long-ish comment on, but the computer ate it).

    Thanks again!

I just saw that the giveaway has a question – d’oh! My answer is:

This year I’m looking forward to all the retellings coming out! RoseBlood, Heartless (which is coming out in March in the UK), The Fallen Children by David Owen, The Seafarer’s Kiss by Julie Ember, The Sea Witch by Sarah Henning – so many! Also, I’m turning 30 this year. Not happy about the age, but I think celebrating it will be fun! 🙂
