Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is: All About Audio freebie — aka top ten audiobooks you should listen to, 10 books I want to listen to on audio,10 bands you should check out, 10 podcasts you should be listening to, 10 of my all time favorite albums, 10 songs I love, really whatever you can come up with.

I have made no secret of several things:

  1. I am obsessed with The 100.
  2. I learned how to make GIFs because of it.
  3. I made a special new Tumblr so I can share said GIFs when I make them.
  4. I am a terrible, terrible procrastinator.

That is to say, none of the things I wanted to do have been done. But since I am not wholly lazy and incompetent, I have been writing down songs that I want to use for video edits, and songs whose lyrics I want to use for GIFs. I contemplated not even putting them here because like… well, frankly I don’t want someone to steal the ideas and then beat me to making them… but then I realized that technically, since they stole my idea, I could steal the GIFs right back, and that would make the procrastinator in me very happy. So have at it 😉 (Kidding, somewhat hahha.)

Songs that I want to do The 100 edits of (and also love)

Who is excited for one day never in the future for these?

Songs from The 100

And the second one is songs that have been in The 100 that I am currently obsessed with. Thanks for the great music, show people! And thanks to TuneFind for helping me find every beloved song!

And if you aren’t in the mood for post-apocalyptic music right now, may I suggest….

hamilton

(It’s free if you have Amazon Prime, too!)

The moral of this post is: Watch The 100 obviously, and you can’t go wrong with Hamilton.

What are some of your favorite songs at the moment? And does anyone have any decent tips for editing videos? 😉

  1. Though everyone is obsessed with Hamilton, I’ve not listened to it. 😉 But still, it’s fun to have fandoms!

I chose music this week as well and always love the chance to talk about it in addition to books. 🙂

  2. Ha The 100! The only proper answer to this question. 4 months!!! Well maybe a little more but January is closerrrrr…..

Way Down We Go could be awesome as an end credits tune, especially after a heavy drama filled episode. And Heathens by 21 Pilots just SOUNDS like a 100 song, I don’t know why it just does. Great pick. And I LOVED that moment in S3 when they played Violent Femmes and they were singing along- that’s a GIF. 🙂

    Awesome post!

    • The 100 is basically my answer to EVERY question, I fear ? And I agree- I was thinking of Way Down We Go starting with them falling down to earth, then ending with them hitting the ground, and then in between can be a bunch of action scenes! It is my first project for sure. And I agree about Heathens- I think because of the Delinquents? And that moment with Violent Femmes is one of the best moments of the entire series, I think! Thanks so much!! 😀

  3. First of all, I love your graphic and secondly, I love this topic!

I love that you made a list of songs to do gifs for. I’m not even surprised by them being The 100 based. Haha. Ooh, Young The Giant and Lykke Li <3

Oh my gosh, I didn't know Knocking On Heaven's Door was actually in the show, I'm going to die when I hear it since that one video you or Holly shared that one time about killed me. Just saying.

I don't recognize the other songs which is awful because usually I make a note of songs fro m shows. 🙁

You can never go wrong with Hamilton.

I don't have any video tips unfortunately. Favorite songs! Oh my gosh, this amazing artist came out with a new album this month and it's really good and maybe you've heard of her? First Time, Higher, The One, Fever, Cry, Store and Roses by Carly Rae Jepsen and Drama For Life by Poets of The Fall.

    • AW THANKS! True (and totally NOT humble) story- I saw my graphic on Bloglovin, forgot it was mine, and was like “hey, I really like that graphic!” ?

And I am glad that my The 100 obsession is amusing. And YESSS it’s the end of Season 2- didn’t you already watch that!? If you go to the site I linked, it will tell you the songs from each episode, which gave me ALLLL the feels. I shall listen to Carly because I know you will never NOT let me listen to her 😉

  4. I need to jump back into The 100 – when I do I’ll be on season 2. They have had some good music in the show haven’t they. I’m about half way through Hamilton right now and I am really enjoying it! 🙂

  5. Louise

I adore the Hamilton soundtrack! I had it on a constant loop for about a month.

I’ve had The 100 on my list of shows to watch for a while now. I feel like it slipped under my radar somehow and now I’ve quite a lot to catch up on (which is how I prefer to watch things anyway) but I’ll definitely need to get around to it soon.

    My TTT

  6. I FINALLY watched and became obsessed with the 100 during the last few episodes of this most recent season. I hate that we have to wait till early 2017 for more D:

  7. I need to watch The 100 knowing how many people love it! I’ve heard great things about Hamilton too, I should really get into it at the moment. I’m actually horrible with keeping up with music so I just listen to my default 90s and early 2000s rnb 😛

    • You really DO need to watch The 100. If I make sure of nothing else in my time blogging, it will be that everyone watches The 100. Which frankly defeats the purpose of book blogging… ? And I LOVE that you default to late 90s and early 2000s, that is fun!!

  8. OBSESSED WITH HAMILTON. Run out and get the special edition of Newsweek. It’s is full of fun amazing information about the play and its creation. I have the PBS documentary scheduled on my calendar and I’m dying to hear about a release date for the Hamilton mixtape.
