March-Discussion-Challenge

Welcome to the March link-up and giveaway for the 2016 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight!

So far this year, the discussion challenge has been a rousing success! We’ve really been enjoying getting to know our new participants via their discussions and, of course, keeping up with our old friends!

The winner of our January discussion challenge link-up was Mishma @ Chasing Faerytales! She got to choose any pre-order, and she decided on This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab. Hope you love it, Mishma!

If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more! Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there’s lots of great discussions going on!

If you need some ideas for discussion ideas this month, try out one of these topics:

  • March is said to “come in like a lion and go out like a lamb.” Tell us about some of your favorite characters who are “lions” (strong characters with big personalities) and some who are “lambs” (characters with milder or more loving personalities – or the peacekeepers).
  • International reads. Tell us about your favorite books that take place somewhere other than your native country. The more exotic, the better!
  • Sacrificial characters. Characters in many of our favorite stories make sacrifices big and small; let’s talk about what they’re willing to give up and whether or not we think it’s all worth it.

Looking for more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight (click the links to be brought directly to our discussion posts).

Even if you’re not Irish, you can find luck this St. Patrick’s day! (Well, okay, St. Patrick’s month.) For this month’s giveaway, you give us a list of a few books you’d feel lucky to own and we’ll have our little leprechaun pick out one to surprise you with. (Okay, there may or may not be a leprechaun involved – we can’t give away ALL our secrets!) The giveaway is open internationally as long as TBD ships to you (book chosen can be up to a $17 value). Just follow the Rafflecopter instructions to enter!

Make sure to link up all of your March discussion posts here. This linky and the March giveaway will be open until April 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are). If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please).

Go forth, and discuss!

  1. I had a great idea for a discussion post on Sunday, but didn’t write it down, and now I think I want to join in this month. So I’ll be racking my brain trying to remember it! I’ve been enjoying the discussion posts, so I’ll definitely be watching for those on other blogs as well.

Dystopian vs Fantasy which is better? Is this a good discussion? We could make a team and discuss the pros and cons of dystopian and fantasy books?
