Welcome to my stop on the FFBC Blog Tour for Hold Me Like a Breath by Tiffany Schmidt! I have some info about the book, fun with gifs (since we all know I adore a gif, this seems exceptionally appropriate!), and of course, an amazing giveaway!

Hold Me Like a Breath (Once Upon a Crime Family #1)
Publisher: Bloomsbury
Release Date: May 19th 2015
Penelope Landlow has grown up with the knowledge that almost anything can be bought or sold—including body parts. She’s the daughter of one of the three crime families that control the black market for organ transplants.
Penelope’s surrounded by all the suffocating privilege and protection her family can provide, but they can’t protect her from the autoimmune disorder that causes her to bruise so easily.
And in her family’s line of work no one can be safe forever.

All Penelope has ever wanted is freedom and independence. But when she’s caught in the crossfire as rival families scramble for prominence, she learns that her wishes come with casualties, that betrayal hurts worse than bruises, that love is a risk worth taking . . . and maybe she’s not as fragile as everyone thinks.

Hold Me Like a Breath – The Story in gifs

In the beginning, Penny is bored and feels trapped on her Family estate:

Her brother, Carter, and his bodyguard/best friend (and Penny’s long-time crush) Garrett – promise to take her out for the night:

Bad things happen:

Sad things happen:

This pattern repeats for awhile:

And then….

  1. I love the way you have done your post for this book, it describes the book exactly plus you didn’t have to give many details on it. The cover is very gorgeous though, I read it recently and it was a 1 star from my side though </3 I loved the concept, I wish the plot could have been better.

  2. Ahaha, loved your gif review! I glimpsed this tour elsewhere but I think you have me sold. That, and the gorgeous cover. Can’t participate in the giveaway, but I’m seriously tempted to buy!

    • Ah, thank you, but it wasn’t my review 😉 The author chose these. I think. No one really told me who chose them, which is why I didn’t specify, but perhaps I should have at least said I didn’t pick them? Though I DID have to hunt down each one online and either download then upload, or embed where I could, and it DID take awhile, so maybe I should just keep some credit 😉 Anyway, my review will be up on Friday!!

  3. Haha, now that was fun (and sums it up great, honestly) ALL THE GIFS. I’ve read a few things about the romance, so I’m not too sure about that (although, the whole crush on her brother’s bodyguard/best friend I can get behind, I love that type of romance).

  4. This is definitely one of the greatest reviews I’ve ever seen! So many amazing gifs, it’s so much fun, and easy to read through. 😉 I wasn’t really interested in this book but it kind of sounds amazing actually. =)
