Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It gives us a chance to share with readers what we bought, borrowed, swapped, won or got for review each week. I also decided that since I do a weekly recap, it really is just good sense to link up with The Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer!
Well, the mailman delivered this week! Coincidence that guy in van wasn’t outside this week? I don’t really know.
The Books:
Thanks to HarperCollins for these lovely, lovely books that I am insanely excited to read!

My Best Everything by Sarah Tomp

Ooo, Love the pretty books! I’m in the middle of We All Looked Up and I am loving it. Its pretty epic!!!!
GOOD JOB on reading 4 books! I hate that time tears us away from our lovelies. You bested it this week!
Oh YAY! It has been one of my most anticipated 2015 releases, so I am SO glad to hear this! And I agree, time is SUCH a struggle, thanks so much 🙂
loving the book this week! HarperCOllins is an amazing publishing house.
MY STACKING THE SHELVES
Thanks! I concur 🙂 They certainly made my week!
Awesome haul! I have an e-ARC of The Cage and I’m really excited to read it! I’ve been hearing great things about We All Looked Up so I’m excited to get my hands on that one too! I hope you enjoy all of your new books 🙂
Oh yay! I am SO excited for The Cage! I want to put it ahead of everything but… I shouldn’t 😉 And I am dying to read We All Looked Up- I have been waiting for it for SO LONG! EEP!
Rha, Crown of midnight, I read it recently, adored it but have yet to post the review ! Enjoy !!!
Ohh YAY! I am really excited for it, I have heard it is even better than ToG! Thanks 🙂
AHHHH!! SO MANY BOOKSSS!! Hope you love them all!
OOOO!! Can’t wait for those reviews! I need to read None of the Above, City or Savages and Becoming Jinn! Been hearing brilliant things about them all! 😀
Great post and enjoy ze books! 😀
~Fari 0:)
Thanks so much! None of the Above was amazing, City of Savages was REALLY good too. Hope you get to read them all soon 🙂
Great haul! I got The Cage this week also and am so excited to read it. I can’t wait to get Until the Beginning. Enjoy!
Shannon @ The Tale Temptress’ StS
Oh YAY! I hope you enjoy it too! Thanks so much 🙂
I feel like a snail. You read four books. So lucky to read at that speed. I hope you loved City of Savages.
Grace @ Books of Love
City of Savages was really good! And 4 books for me in a week is unusual- usually it’s two or three, and some sad weeks, one!
I keep meaning to read Sarah Maas but I never seem to find the time. Happy reading!
Tsuki’s STS
I know, I was the same way but then some friends were buddy reading ToG so I hopped on the bandwagon 😉
I’m interested to see what you make of We All Looked Up! I hope you enjoy it and the rest of your books.
Thanks! I am really excited for it, so I am crossing my fingers!
I am dying to read the Cage and I Was Here. I can’t wait to see your reviews for None of the Above and City of Savages! Happy reading. 🙂
None of the Above and City of Savages were both definite wins for me! VERY good, so hopefully you will enjoy them all too!
NO NO NO STOP CALLED ME CENTAUR YOU…YOU! GAH. But thanks for pointing out my posts 😛
HAHAH YOU HAVE UNTIL THE BEGINNING. You’ve read After the End right? You’re gonna have to tell all about the sequel and whether I should read it or not 😛 AND HEY CROWN OF MIDNIGHT.
If you’d just embrace the Centaur, we could all move on. Just saying.
And yep, I have read (and liked!) After the End, so I am very excited!! And yes, of course Crown of Midnight 😉 Though, it will likely be awhile until I can get to it, sadly!
Nice book haul. I hope you enjoy them. 🙂
Thanks so much!
Great haul! My Best Everything sounds really good and I quite adore the cover. I can’t wait for the release of The Cage! It’s one of my most anticipated reads. I hope you enjoy everything! 😀
Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Thanks! I am quite excited about them both too 🙂
Haha I can see your ARC problem here [; But omg, I’m so excited for The Cage and We all Looked Up. I can’t wait to see your thoughts on those two especially. I hope you end up enjoying the rest of your reads, I have no worry about Crown of Midnight though. It was so much better than Throne of Glass for me and really was the book that made me fall head over heels in love with the series.
Hahah see? The struggle is real 😉 I am SO excited for those too! I really wish I could stop everything and read WALU right now, but at least I can read The Cage soon 🙂 I also REALLY want to get to Crown of Midnight ASAP- I hear SUCH great things!
I recently read We All Looked Up and it was incredible! I really hope you enjoy it!
-Jon from Bookish Antics
Oh, I am so glad you liked it! It’s one of my most anticipated books of the year, so I am excited to hear good things 🙂
SQUEE. Thanks for linking to my post about how to be a plant. I think I give great life advice there, amirite? Everyone NEEDS to know how to be a plant. It’s crucial to blogging.
Anyway.
What was I saying?
OH YES. BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BOOKS. I can’t wait to see what you think of We All Looked Up! It looks fantastic and I nearly requested it, buuuut, then I decided I need to calm mineself on requesting and concentrate on finishing more series this year. So to the library for me! HUZZAH.
Hehhe you are quite welcome! I mean, I would like plant lessons, if you are giving them out. Sign me up for the next one!
And I am SO EXCITED for that book. I specifically did NOT request it so I could have an excuse to buy it. That’s probably bad, but I don’t even care. It looked pretty.
Also, I am impressed with your self control. I, um, clearly have none.
Caketag is crazy. The eggs as bad was amusing. When eggs go bad they really GO BAD and are all stinky. I like to read these posts but I never do them! Never. I can’t remember three books I read in one category.
Hahah right!? What is with that!? They didn’t specify nasty, rotten eggs! And my problem is the opposite- I can never pick just one 😉
Crown of Midnight, yes, read that, it was SO good! The Cage and Shutter look and sound so good, I’m hoping you enjoy them lovely! I reviewed Half Wild too and liked it just as much as you, it was such a good book right, and I’ll be reading your link-ups from the community, I want to read more posts for sure! Have a great week Shannon! 🙂
Ohh yay! I am so glad to hear you enjoyed it, I keep hearing such great things! And YES- Half Wild really impressed me (where I wasn’t really AS thrilled about Half Bad). Thanks so much, hope you have a great week too 🙂
The cage sounds good. I’m curious to see how I feel about it, since I had my ups and downs with her previous series. That edition from Crown of midnight is so pretty (I have the white ones) I might need to break my rules and get a set of those too. Happy reading 😀
I am really hoping The Cage is good. Fingers are crossed, because I have been really excited for it! And um.. is it bad that I chose them based on the cover? Because that’s why I have the UK version of I Was Here. And the US Crown of Midnight. I think I have problems 😉
So many pretty books! I love my eARCs but I get about 10 times more excited about getting an actual print book! Great links this week! There’s several I’m off to check out along with your ARC post. Have a great week!
Thanks! I agree, there is nothing like getting a physical book- I can’t imagine it ever gets old? I mean, it is VERY new to me, so I am insanely giddy, but still. And thanks so much! I hope you have a wonderful week too 🙂
I am jealous you have None of the Above. I am looking forward to that one in a major way! And YES, time is moving way too fast. I cannot believe March is already over!
Oh, it was GOOD. It is definitely worth getting when it comes out, I was very impressed. I’ll be posting my review within a week 😉 And seriously, HOW is it almost April?! Nope. Not possible!
SO SO SO jealous of The Cage, I can’t wait to see what you think of it!! And what you have to say about City of Savages. The synopsis just confuses me and I can’t decide if I want to read it.
It has been one of my most anticipated books for sure, so fingers crossed! City of Savages was good! I had a bit of a world building issue, but the rest of the book was great!
Mmmh. Chocolate. I mean.. what? Oh, sorry that wasn’t the point of this post?
I love to read about the saga of the van guy haha. I am sad to say I haven’t read a single one of these books, but I’m curious to see what you thought of Becoming Jinn! And time is definitely running faster somehow. Wasn’t it just Christmas?
Hahha that is kind of how I felt while reading the chocolate thing 😉 Delicious!
I just realized that the van guy hasn’t been parking there because of the snow piles- so I bet now that it’s getting warmer, he’ll be back and my books will vanish.
SERIOUSLY, it WAS just Christmas! I swear! ANd um…. I am going to not talk about Becoming Jinn, lest I bum anyone out too badly. I will be reviewing it, but not until after the blog tour (in about 2 weeks, I suppose!)
What a great bunch of books you got, I hope you enjoy them all! 🙂
Stormi
Thanks so much 🙂
Thank you so much for including my recap, Shannon! I don’t know how this show does it but it just keeps me thinking and talking and theorizing. Haha! Do you have ANY idea how relieved I was to know that I wasn’t the only one feeling weird about Jaha?!?! I was like, why am I feeling this way when I was such a fan of him at the end of Season 1?! But yeah, I thought Marcus was power-hungry but it was actually him who was THAT.
In any case, I can’t wait for you to read Shutter. That book is AMAAAAZING. As in horror and action all in one. You’ll see!
Oh, absolutely! I LOVE your recaps- and I am really happy that you are still watching, since I am super sad that the season is over. AND YES- I did NOT like Marcus last season, I was 100% sure he was the “bad guy”. Well, looks like I was extra wrong! It’s crazy, this show is so crazy!
And yay! I am so excited that you loved Shutter! It sounds so good, I am looking forward to it 🙂
Great haul! So many books, I really want to know your thoughts on The Cage! 🙂 & Oh, I spy my blog on here hehe that actually kind of made my night. Thank you for noticing!
Oh, absolutely! I love finding fun posts to share 😉 And I am SO excited for The Cage- it is likely to be my next book, so I will let you know for sure!
So many ARCs!! You’re lucky, girl. I also got Crown of Midnight and the rest of the books in the series thanks to a friend of mine. And that’s good that you read 4 books! I probably only read 1 lol I was away at camp the whole weekend so I barely read. Anyway, enjoy your books!
Check out my STS
It was a good week, I must admit! This week was less so hahah. OH the whole series from a friend! Nice friend 🙂 And thanks, you too!
The cage is one I got a couple weeks ago as well. Let us hope it is good as her first trilogy. I hope you enjoy all these. Happy Reading!
I actually haven’t read the first one yet (no idea why- I own the first two books!) but i am excited for it anyway. Hope we both enjoy 🙂
I highly recommend The Madman’s Daughter. Very well done, with a unique twist and enjoyment to some classics.
