Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is:Ten Books You Recently Added To Your To-Be-Read List
Now, I could tell you all the random 2017 books or whatever that I have added to Goodreads, but honestly, no one wants to see that, because there aren’t any pretty covers. So, instead, I thought “how about the most recent additions to my actual TBR”, you know, the ones I own? But then I figured that would just be the ten books I literally just posted about on Saturday, so yeah, that isn’t going to work either. So I guess I can just do the next books I am planning to read? Though I did just post about those too. GOSH, this is hard.
SO, my solution: Random.org. No, for real, I am just going to pick 10 absolutely random books from my TBR, because I seriously don’t know how else to do this. Then, we can discuss the books, whichever pop up from 1-864.
466. The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley by Shaun David Hutchinson

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is so good. I hope you enjoy it too!
Oh, I hope so too! I hear so many great things!
Jelicoe Road and Noggin are perfect. Like, pitch perfect voice and plotting and story. JR is beautiful and Noggin is just SO SO FUN. I read it over the holidays and it was the perfect book for it — I also felt like it could be a great movie. Hope you enjoy both of them, and great list!
Ohhh YAY! I am excited to hear this, because I have heard very little about Noggin! Thanks so much 🙂
I really enjoyed Awaken. It’s different! I wasn’t the biggest fan of Fangirl, but I think it’s still a decent read. Great list!
I have heard such great things about Awaken, I hope to read it soon. And Fangirl seems to be VERY hit or miss!
You have to read Fangirl! It’s really cute, and Cath is basically just like us so it’s pretty interesting to read it from an author perspective 🙂
Great list, Shannon!
Ohh it sounds really good! I am hoping I get to read it soon 🙂 Thanks so much!
Great list! FanGirl is so good!!
Thanks! I am looking forward to getting to it!
I love the way you did this 🙂
Fangirl is very good, thou i must admit, i skipped over the fanfic that’s written in the book.
My Top 10 🙂
brooke @ booklife4life
Thanks so much! The fanfic has been the part that has had me worried, to be honest!
I need to read Fangirl, too. 🙂 It’s good to know I’m not the last person in the world who hasn’t read it!
I’d like to read Salt & Storm, too; I do love me some witches. 😉
Hahah nope, I seem to be the last in the world to read SO many books! Glad I have a buddy 😉
The only one I’ve read is Fangirl and, while I liked it, I didn’t love it. I have Jellicoe Road in my TBR, too, but I’ve never been able to get past the first chapter.
I went off in a different direction: Great Books that Independent Booksellers Recommend.
Oh no! Well, hopefully one day you’ll get into Jellicoe Road (or DNF it, either way 😉 )
I don’t know any of these, so I’ll be discovering them through your reviews 🙂
Ohh fun! If I ever get to them hahhahaha 😉
Haha random.org – such a good idea!
Haha thanks! I was seriously out of ideas 😉
I’d really like to read Noggin someday… I think it’s actually out in paperback now!
But you should read Fangirl ASAP 😉 And meet Levi, because LEVI. He’s sunshine and happiness in one person!
Aww he sounds wonderful! Not that I need MORE book boyfriends but… fine, I do. I really do.
Interesting solution! Ruins and Fangirl have been in my tbr pile for way too long. I want to read Salt and Storm and Of Breakable Things. I decided to list previously released books that I just bought recently and want to read. I didn’t want to do a giant WoW post or repost my StS from Saturday, so I came up with that solution. Great random picks, btw.
Michelle @ Michelle’s Minions
I haven’t even read Fragments yet! I am SO behind, which is weird, because I am usually a decent series finisher. Ugh. That was a good idea! I almost did that too, until I realized I’d been good and hadn’t bought any books lately! (That has changed, no worries!)
Yea my TBR is about as bad. Maybe I need to pick my next reads with the help of Random.
Hahhaha there you go! Confession: I HAVE tried that before, but then I usually just disagree with random. Hope you have better luck 😉
Fangirl! Fangirl should be pushed as high up on your TBR as possible.
That’s all…. 😉
Okay, okay! At least it is on my “imminent TBR” shelf, right?
Great list! I recently read Noggin and it instantly became one of my favorites, so I’m greatly happy to see that it’s on your list! Fangirl is definitely a must-read as well. It’s so amazing!
Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Thanks! Oh, yay! I will definitely need to be reading them both, I have seen a lot of love for them 😉
Haha – wonderful problem-solving there Sharon! 😉 And I’m looking forward to seeing what you think about these. I felt that The Line and Fangirl were a bit mediocre when I read them to be completely honest, but I know a ton of readers love them so I hope you do too. And I absolutely adored Salt & Storm! Such an original and creative story. Thanks for sharing!
Ohh, I am glad to hear good things about Salt & Storm! To be honest, I heard very little about it, positive OR negative, so I am extra glad to hear you liked it 🙂
I see Jellicoe Road and that’s all that really matters. GET TO IT, WOMAN. It is my #1 book OF ALL TIME. It’s why I fell in love with YA. <3
Also, Fangirl is so, so good. 😀
Oh WOW! That is some pretty high praise! Goodness, I do have to get on it then! I promise, I will!
HAHAHAH so YOU HAVE MORE THAN 760 BOOKS. OH MAN SHANNON. I seriously think you should read Fangirl, and Salt & Storm is pretty good but not everyone’s cup of tea.
I HAVEN’T READ ANYTHING ELSE but you should get on all of these anyways
YES, I have 864. Strike that- I HAD 864, now I have 880. Because, books. And Val, how can I read THESE when I have to read all the OTHER books you need me to read? Like The Book Thief? ADSOM? I mean… it’s a lot!
I haven’t read any of these books besides Fangirl. It was quite boring lol.. Maybe you might like it more than me? Fig sounds interesting though <3
Oh dear! I am sorry you didn’t like Fangirl! I am kind of scared, because I find that we do often have similar taste!
I love the Random.org idea! So fun. FIG is on my list because it looks SO compelling. I loved FANGIRL and JELLICOE ROAD. RUINS and THE LINE were just okay for me. I hope you love them all, though.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Hahha thanks! Fig does look really good, and I haven’t seen it around much, so I am glad it made the cut! Thanks so much!
Wow Shannon hahaha us as book lovers really struggly a lot xD I read Awaken a loooong time ago and I remember liking it at the time. I read Fangirl and while I like it, not a big fan of it because I found it to be too slow for my liking.
So true hahha. I think a lot of people are either HUGE fans of Fangirl or just “meh” about it. I hope I like it but… I probably won’t rush to read it either.
Wait, so does that mean you haven’t read Fangirl yet? Go read it!! Seriously though, it’s my favorite Rainbow Rowell book and one of my favorite books period. Haven’t read any of the other ones, but I do have some of them on my TBR as well.
