Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Breaking the Spine, which spotlights upcoming releases that we simply cannot wait for! This week, I chose Tonight the Streets Are Ours by Leila Sales.Published by Farrar Straus and Giroux (BYR) on September 15, 2015
Tonight the Streets Are Ours is a YA novel about a teen girl living in the suburbs who becomes obsessed with a blogger in New York City, and sets out to track him down in real life.
Why I’m Waiting: Well, on one hand, I find it ironic considering the ::ahem:: “recent events” involving blogger stalking. Though I think she likes this blogger, not wants to attack his opinions. So there’s that. And fine, I am judging a book by a cover. Cause it’s so pretty. Though I wanted to read this before the cover was revealed, it just sounds different, interesting, and involves a blogger. The fun!
So, what are you waiting for this week? And do you think the girl is kind of creepy for chasing down this blogger? (Spoiler: I do.)
