I Am Going to Answer Questions!

So, I decided that I would pick a day and answer/respond to all the questions and tags and such that I’ve been neglecting. Today is that day!

First Up: The Ultimate Book Tag, via The Story Goes… I am going to skip around a bit, as to not bore you, so for the full list, go to her post here!

1. Do you get sick while reading in the car? Nope, which is weird, because I did when I was younger.

4. Do you carry a book bag? If so, what is in it (besides books…)? Nope. I don’t really know when the last time I did was? Maybe I was like, 12?

5. Do you smell your books? Always.

8. Do you have any funny stories involving books from your childhood? Please share! My friends and I used to pretend we were in a club about The Babysitters Club. We might have called it “The Babysitters Club-Club. We may have also been nerds.2m50i

9. What is the thinnest book on your shelf? The Giver by Lois Lowry. But I have the really tiny copy that I cannot actually believe is meant to be read by humans with real-person eyesight. My guess? I got the “tiny superhero edition”.

10. What is the thickest book on your shelf?  City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. That thing shall henceforth be used to kill all insects.

11. Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author? Uh. No. I guess the actual writing is okay, but the whole “coming up with a decent plot” troubles me on the regular. That said, I would love to be an author. Some day, maybe my imagination will catch up to the rest of me.

12. When did you get into reading? When I was like, 3. I could fully read by 4, and well, I never stopped.

13. What is your favorite classic book? I don’t like them, okay? I just don’t. Who decided that I had to read them? I don’t like whoever that guy was either.anigif_enhanced-buzz-25056-1407525634-21
14. In school was your best subject Language Arts/English? No, but it was up there. Probably history would have been my best. I did fine in English, but I found it kind of boring, to be honest.

17. What is a bad habit you always do (besides rambling) while blogging? Waiting until the absolute last moment, of course. Not by choice, really, but by time constraints. Also, maybe over-gifing, if that’s a thing. (Though, I don’t think one can actually have too many gifs. You may disagree.)

18. What is your favorite word? Shenanigans for sure. I also am quite fond of rubbish, smarmy, glib, flummox… this could go on for days, really.

24. Love triangle or forbidden love? I fully admit to enjoying them both, if done right. I guess a slight preference to forbidden love.

25. Lastly: Full on romance books or action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in? A nice mix of both? Can I have both?

The next one is also from The Story Goes, something about a Sisterhood of Blogging? I don’t know, just nobody send me their jeans, okay? Blake Lively’s jeans cannot fit me, I don’t care how much magic you put into them. Her post probably makes far more sense than mine.

1. Who Is Your Ultimate Book Boyfriend/Girlfriend? Really? Peeta Mellark. Always.tumblr_m3v4wuvyQY1ronsdeo1_500
2. What’s a book that changed your life? Guess I will have to be cheesy again and say The Hunger Games. Not only was it my first foray into YA, but it was my first taste of dystopian.The-Hunger-Games-gifs-the-hunger-games-29459797-500-281
3. What is the book or series that got you into reading? Aside from books my parents read to me, it was definitely Stacey and the Missing Ring: Baby Sitters Club Mystery #1. My aunt bought it for my birthday one year. I was not thinking I’d like it, but I did, and I could not stop reading, from that day forward.

4. Who is your OTP(one true pairing)? Stop. We know this. Lots of sighs. tumblr_mwq38sa2FY1t3o5kho1_500
5. What is your least favorite book to movie adaption, and why? Hm. I didn’t like Beautiful Creatures at all. It wasn’t that true to the book at all, and the guy who played Ethan skeeved me out. Also, his accent was pure rubbish. (Ha, see I used rubbish there!) -Beautiful-Creatures-beautiful-creatures-movie-33650026-500-206
6. What is a book that you hate with a passion(or simply dislike)? Oh dear, this is hard! I think the book that infuriated me more than any book ever is Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris. Because when you read (and purchase) 13 books, plus all the “extra” crap, the last book needs to not completely suck. And completely suck it did.

7. What book disappointed you the most? Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I mean, I kind of knew that Sookie was going to be a mess, so I hated it, but I wasn’t *as* disappointed. But Allegiant.. ugh. I may start weeping at the mere thought.

8. Who is your favorite main character ever? How? Seriously, this doesn’t seem fair. A tie between Katniss Everdeen (duh) and Sam McKenna from Rites of Passage by Joy N. Hensley

9. Who is your favorite side character? Hunger Games notwithstanding, I will say Roar from Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. I loved me some Roar.

10. Insta love/love triangles, yes or no(do you like them)? NO to insta-love. NO. But I am fine with a love triangle, when it makes sense/works in the story.

So, there you have it- further proof, as though you needed it, that I am obsessed with THG. Let’s see… I shall ask you question # 18 from the first post, because I like words: What is your favorite word? Oh, and feel free to answer any or all of these!

  1. Wow, I really like asking you questions don’t I? Though next time I tag you for something I should make sure it’s something you can answer Hunger Games to for every question!

As far as I know the Sisterhood Of Bloggers thing does not include traveling pants! I hope not, because that could just get awkward! I don’t even want to think of the germs spread that way…

Originally I said Pumpernickel is my favorite word(as in the bread), it makes me laugh. But I’m also partial to supercalifragilisticexpialidocious…and yes I did have to look up how to spell that!

Anyway, personally I think your combined post was way more entertaining than two separate posts would have been! And no one judges you for your love of Hunger Games and Peeta(sigh). =)

  2. We’re all obsessed with Hunger Games! I guess my favorite words are frivolous and vitriol. They just sound fancy to my ears whenever I hear any of the two. Haha

  3. Boy, don’t you love your Hunger Games?! I do love the first books too, but the answer to question #7 wouldn’t be Allegiant for me but Mockingbird. I hated everything in it and I think the author took a completely wrong route with it, but I’m glad at least you got to enjoy it.

    • I have a sickness, no joke. I tell you this as I look at my Hunger Games wall clock, use my Hunger Games mousepad, and listen to the Catching Fire soundtrack. That is just the tip of the iceberg. Seriously, issues 😉

    • Well, to be fair, the last four or so sucked. But I knew she’d signed this dumb 13 book contract, even though she had only initially planned to write 3 or 4. So yeah, it was a mess. BUT, I had hoped that in the final book she’d have a big old finale. Nope. Big old flop.

  4. ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS YAY! So many questions. And wait, I got sick reading in the car too! but not anymore? Maybe it’s just a younger thing, when I couldn’t handle the pain or something. And hahahah I love your shipping of Peeta and Katniss 😀 😀

  5. I wish I could read in the car! A purse so counts as a ‘book bag’ right? There are people who don’t smell books? I’m with you on classic books. I have a weakness for forbidden love.

I stopped the Sookie books part way. Oh no, the entire thing ends badly? That does stink! I haven’t read Allegiant yet, because I’ve heard it wasn’t good.

I liked all of your favorite words. I like putting ness and ish on words. For actual words I’m going to pick bloody (the British curse word) and bum.

    • YES, I love bloody (of the British persuasion). Good call! And YES the Sookie books are a mess. It’s like, the last one doesn’t even fit in with the rest of them. It was like she wrote in 10 years ago, wrote nine other books, and this one makes ZERO sense in context. And skip Allegiant. For reasons.
