Cover Reveal and Giveaway: Salt & Stone by Victoria Scott

I’m a bit weird and picky about doing cover reveals. I have only done maybe three in the whole year I’ve been blogging, because if I am going to do one, it has to be because the book is going to be freaking amazing. Well, obviously since I am doing one, I am thinking this is that book! I am so, so excited for Salt & Stone, so of course I am going to take this chance to show you the gorgeous cover and a chance to win it!

But first, I shall tease you with a Fire & Flood paperback cover! It matches the new Salt & Stone cover, and I kind of love it!

Time is slipping away....

Tella Holloway is losing it. Her brother is sick, and when a dozen doctors can't determine what's wrong, her parents decide to move to Montana for the fresh air. She's lost her friends, her parents are driving her crazy, her brother is dying—and she's helpless to change anything.

Until she receives mysterious instructions on how to become a Contender in the Brimstone Bleed. It's an epic race across jungle, desert, ocean, and mountain that could win her the prize she desperately desires: the Cure for her brother's illness. But all the Contenders are after the Cure for people they love, and there's no guarantee that Tella (or any of them) will survive the race.

The jungle is terrifying, the clock is ticking, and Tella knows she can't trust the allies she makes. And one big question emerges: Why have so many fallen sick in the first place?

Victoria Scott's breathtaking novel grabs readers by the throat and doesn't let go.

And now, for the lovely Salt & Stone!!

Synopsis:

What would you do to save someone you love?

In Fire & Flood, Tella Holloway faced a dangerous trek through the jungle and across the desert, all to remain a Contender in the Brimstone Bleed for a chance at obtaining the Cure for her brother. She can’t quit–she has to win the race, save Cody, and then fight to make sure the race stops before it can claim any more lives. In the next legs of the race, across the ocean and over mountains, Tella will face frostbite, sharks, avalanche, and twisted new rules in the race.

But what if the danger is deeper than that? How do you know who to trust when everyone’s keeping secrets? What do you do when the person you’d relied on most suddenly isn’t there for support? How do you weigh one life against another?

The race is coming to an end, and Tella is running out of time, resources, and strength. At the start of the race there were one hundred twenty-two Contenders. As Tella and her remaining friends start the final part of the race, just forty-one are left–and only one can win.

    • Fire & Flood was SO good! It’s funny, because the premise seems weird at first, but the way Victoria Scott wrote it, it was so action packed, PLUS it was witty and fun, which I don’t think is a combination I see enough of!

  1. THEY ARE COOL AREN’T THEY. Are they new covers for EVERYONE? Or just a region? Oh yep its paperback. I usually never comment on cover reveals, but these are actually perfect hahahah.

  2. For once, I love the cover change to this series! They match perfectly to one another and even though I already Fire & Flood, I might just have to pick up a new cover copy. 🙂

  3. I am really torn on this book, it sounds really amazing and I love the whole talking animals that come from eggs thing, but the reviews are really mixed and a lot of people said it was boring, but others said it was a thrill ride. Are they reading the same book? I’ll just take your say so that it’s good and read it for myself.

    • My review is on here somewhere I think. The first part I honestly hated! Like, the first say, 20%. I almost DNFed. But then it got SO GOOD. Like, I could not put it down! It ended up being amazing after the slow start.
