Why I’m Waiting: Um, because it is Patrick Ness? Need I any more explanation? Seriously, I even broke my own Waiting on Wednesday rule of never ever featuring books without a cover. Because that isn’t a fun post to look at. Well, now you get to look at MY placeholder cover, which, if I do say so myself, is much more fun than those on Goodreads. Goodreads, I am totally available to design tons of ridiculously crappy cover placeholders, ‘kay? 

Anyway. Here’s why I broke my rule: First, (and not only because it is Patrick Ness, though that is a big deal) it sounds pretty amazing. If you go to the “additional info” link, it goes to Ness’s website, where he talks about the book. Second, I figured if any of you hadn’t heard about it yet, I should probably help spread the word so everyone can eagerly add it to their TBR, right?

    I never read anything by Patrick Ness, but I always get excited when I find someone is a hardcore fan like you, breaking your own rules. I broke that same rule a few weeks ago, too, for the next book of The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, because I am so excited for it. x)
    And I definitvely love that crappy placeholder cover. My first thought was, “WTF? That’s a COVER?” before I noticed it’s a placeholder. *lol*

    Amazing pick! I have never read a single Patrick Ness book but I wanted to read the Chaos Walking trilogy for the longest time and will definitely pick them up by the end of the year! And when I read a post about his new book on Tumblr it immidiately went to Goodreads and marked it as to be read. It sounds really cool and I can’t wait to pick it up 🙂

    I’ve only read one Patrick Ness book – More Than This and absolutely LOVED it, so I am really curious as to what this one is about. I haven’t heard of it before, but I am glad you used it as your WOW pick to spread the news! 😉 And I think your placeholder cover is brilliant… just sayin’! 😉
