Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is “ Top Ten Books That Should Be In Your Beach Bag or Ten Books That Will Be In My Beach Bag This Summer”. Well, I don’t go to the beach really. Sure, I’d love to, don’t get me wrong. But the beach is at least 3 hours away (and that is a Jersey Shore situation- not really running to get there), and you know, time and money and all of those fun things.
I assume that books I should bring to the beach are “light” reads, more fun stuff. But, I wouldn’t really read that at the beach. What I would bring are some books on my bookshelf that I am dying to read, since you know, my Kindle is not coming near any sand or water!
If ever, in my entire life, I complain that I have nothing to read, feel free to smack me. Also, this would be one hell of a heavy beach bag 😉
So, what will I find in your beach bag this summer?
You’ve got a great selection Shannon. I really can’t wait to read To All The Boys I Loved Before. Looking forward to Pointe too!
Thanks! I really, really hope I get some time to read them all, they are all books on my must-read list!
I also don’t go to the beach because you know there is none near me and I’m more of a stay home and read in bed kind of person who definitely prefers winter to summer. Oh well! I still love to read from the comfort of my bed and summer means I can do it in my pjs all day long! =)
I LOVE to read in bed. I read in 2 places: Bed, or while waiting somewhere. But obviously, I much prefer bed! I also make sure my A/C is blasting as high as it possibly can go! Clearly, great minds think alike 😉
I can’t wait to read “City of Heavenly Fire” and “Panic” sounds interesting, too! Great picks, overall 🙂
Here’s my list: http://takeawalkonthewriteside.blogspot.it/2014/06/top-ten-tuesday-books-that-will-be-in.html
Thanks! I want to read these books so badly, I really hope I have time soon (I am super worried about stumbling upon a City of Heavenly Fire spoiler too!)
This would be a pretty awesome beach bag. 🙂 I really, really liked Panic and Fire & Flood! I haven’t read any of the others, but I hope to get a copy of City of Heavenly Fire soon so I can finally read it.
I want to read City of Heavenly Fire, but it is SO long and daunting. I’ll muster my courage one of these days 😉
