Last FridayNight!

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is: Top Ten Books We Enjoyed That Have Under 2000 Ratings On Goodreads

I am NOT including any books that have come out in the past 4 months or so, because that just doesn’t seem fair- no one even had a chance to read them yet! So, this is not all older books but not super new ones either. These are also books I have given at least 4.5 stars to! So, I liked ’em, and so might you!

  1. A few of these are books of interest to me. Said books would include “Don’t Touch” (I’ve been curious about it from DAY ONE), and “Truest.” I’ve seen that one around the blogosphere. Also, “Forbidden” looks intriguing and I vaguely remember seeing “Devoted” around when its cover was revealed. I’ll have to look it up again. 🙂

  2. I have not read any of those, but Truest is on my radar since I follow the author’s blog. Nora and Kettle sounds intriguing. Thanks for the recs!

  3. Good thing I have Nora & Kettle! And I NEED TO READ YOU WERE HERE. But a physical copy of it, right? Yes. Because obviously you have pushed both of these books on me a ton. Also I didn’t know that Titans was underrated. I thought it was super popular. I was deceived. Then again you talk about it a lot so maybe that’s why hahahha.

And of course I have Return Once More, which I am very excited about.

  4. So I’m just sitting here and wondering what on earth is wrong with people for not picking up the Courtney Stevens book! It’s such a wonderful story and totally needs to be read by more people.
Some Fine Day and Forbidden are two books I really liked too.
I have You Were Here, Sweet Madness and Return Once More on my list thanks to you! 🙂
    Thanks for sharing!

  5. Grunge Gods and Graveyards- that’s just an awesome title. And Return Once More I forgot all about- I remember when it was still called The Historians I was going to TBR it, then it finally got published and I never did get to it. The time travel thing always hooks me. lol Still it’s good to know that it’s good! And Some Fine Day I need to check out just by that cover alone.

  6. I’ll definitely be reading Devoted!! I LOVED The Truth About Alice and cult books are awesome! I’m super surprised that The Lies About Truth has less than 2000 ratings!! I definitely want to read it as well. Great list 🙂

  7. I have The Lies About the Truth on my TBR 🙂 I am so torn about whether or not to read Don’t Touch! It just doesn’t look like my kind of thing

  8. Oh oh I STILL haven’t read Nora & Kettle #shame but I wiiiiill SOOOON. (I’m actually fully just collecting all the Peter Pan retellings of ever and not reading them. It’s a problem, but one I am not regretting. :’) AGH, though, I was so angry at Titans!? It totally ripped off The Scorpio Races…like seriously, I wonder how books even get away with being that similar sometimes. Ahem. But I SHALL NOT RAIN ON YOUR PARADE. (I mean, I just did but shhh Cait stop being a gloom.)

ALSO I RECOGNISE A FAIR FEW OF THESE SO YAY. Although the only one I’ve read is Grunge Gods. <333 But I wish that author got more recognition! Her books are AMAZING. *hugs Dead & Breakfast particularly* ?

  9. I have not read any of the books on your list (YET) but I already have most of them on my TBR. I really want to read Some Fine Day by Kat Ross since I loved her other book, The Midnight Sea, so much. The Midnight Sea actually made my TTT list, as well.
I have also been really itching to read Return Once More. I am a complete sucker for anything involving time travel, especially with the promise of hunting for true love, so the synopsis hooked me in.

  10. I can’t deal with how pretty your post look. Anyways, I LOVED Don’t Touch and Devoted – they made it onto my list, too. I can’t believe that so few people are interested in actually meaningful books like these two. I added Sweet Madness to my tbr – I’ve been meaning to read something by the author for a while now, and this sounds really, really great.
    Wonderful picks!

  11. Loved how you formatted your TTT this week, Shannon! Especially with the count on the no. of reviews, and your links to the reviews, all the links in general! I had no idea that You Were Here only had 505 ratings though – I thought it was a much more popular book haha 😀

  12. I actually read Return Once More. And I’m pretty sure I rated/reviewed it. It wasn’t too bad.
But Nora and Kettle looks AWESOME. And not just because of the cover. Definitely will check it out!

  13. I am happy to report that I have a copy of Nora & Kettle sitting on my shelf ready to be read. I am so excited to get tucked in to it, especially after reading all those glowing reviews about it. The Lies About Truth is another book I’ve been meaning to pick up but finding the time to read all these books is impossible. 😛

  14. ohhh Guns, Gods, and Graveyards seems to have real promise. I haven’t read any others on this list but I’ve heard of Forbidden for sure. I suspect it got lost in that period where a bunch of fantasy books set in the middle east/ with middle eastern influence came up and I got so excited about all of them and ended up only reading one series >__<

  15. I still want to read You Were Here — I’ve seen such good reviews of that one! But! I haven’t read any of these or else I would totally rate them — you always have favorites that are under my radar and I appreciate that!!

  16. Oh gosh, I’ve had Forbidden on my shelf for what seems like forever. You know how it is.
I love Victoria Scott. I can’t believe I’m left Titans sitting unread for so long.
Great list! Definitely hadn’t heard about some of these.

  17. It’s crazy how few ratings some of these books have. There were a couple on my list that totally shocked me. And it makes me want to force the books on every person I know because obviously they are missing out. 🙂 I’m, surprised at both Return Once More and Truest. I haven’t read Return Once More yet but have heard good things. And while I didn’t *love* Truest I still enjoyed it and would have thought it had a lot more ratings than it apparently does.

  18. GOODNESS GRACIOUS I HAVEN’T READ A SINGLE ONE OF THESE. But. BUT!!! I do own Truest and by some kind of miracle ACTUALLY HAVE IT IN MY APARTMENT WITH ME. And since I’m on a contemporary kick lately, I will definitely bump that one up on my tbr!

  19. I recently purchased Don’t Touch because there was a Kindle sale. Yay!! I also have The Lies About Truth. Now I am even more excited to read those two since you loved them so much. Actually, Don’t Touch was on my TBR anyway just because of your review. And Return Once More was so good! I need the sequel for that one! And more people need to read You were here and Nora and Kettle!! I am going to read some more of Cori McCarthy’s books. Her other stuff has high ratings as well and if her other books are anything like You Were Here, they are probably awesome.
