January 2015 Discussion Challenge Link Up (and Giveaway!)

2015 Discussion Challenge3

Welcome to the first monthly link-up for the 2015 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight!

If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more! The basic idea is that we want to encourage more discussion posts, so we’re hosting this challenge to get us all discussing!

Even if you don’t decide to join us, still check back here occasionally so that you can read lots of awesome discussion posts!

Joined us, but you’re not sure what to discuss? Here are some ideas:

There are no required discussion topics for this challenge (and no specific dates that you need to post on). You can talk about anything that has to do with books or book blogging. But some participants told us that they’d love to discuss more – they just don’t know what to talk about. So, we thought we’d provide a few possible topics for inspiration!

  • Why I Love (insert genre here) – Discuss what makes your favorite genre awesome.
  • Where Do You Get Your Books? – Discuss how you get most of your books. Buy them? Receive them for review? Use the library?
  • How My Reading Habits Have Changed Since I Started Blogging – This one’s pretty self-explanatory. Blogging changes things – tell us how!

Looking for more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight (click the links to be brought directly to our discussion posts).

We’re excited to discuss with you throughout 2015!

The link-up

Make sure to link up all of your January discussion posts here. This linky and the January giveaway will be open until February 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are!). If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please). And don’t forget to go visit other peoples’ discussions!! This will be so much more fun if we all participate in lots of discussions – PLUS, you can earn more entries in the giveaway by posting comments on other people’s discussion posts! 1. Thank you both for creating such a great challenge to do! I am really looking forward to completing this challenge, it is just what I needed to add some more variety to my blog. 🙂

  2. YES! I don’t know how I didn’t see this before, but I am DEFINITELY joining! 😀 Thank you for putting this together Shannon! As of now my blog is mostly all-reviews, but I really want to add some discussions in. The problem is that I can never think of what to post about, you know? But hopefully this will offer me an incentive to post more discussions! ♥ Looking forward to this!

  3. THIS IS A GREAT CHALLENGE. I signed up a while ago muhahahha. But just to make sure, is this a once a month thing? Because I felt like the challenge was to have as many discussion posts as you can???? WOW I don’t even know, I’m too lazy to check the signup page because I’m a poop.

  4. I LOVE THIS CHALLENGE! Thanks for hosting this 😀 I just signed up, and I’m looking forward to completing this real soon!! I love writing discussion posts, and this one is definitely something I’ll be doing for this year! Thanks again <3

  5. Oh I forgot to talk about this on my New Years post! I’m so working it into my Top Ten somehow. Yay for topics! I sort of did one of them on how I get my books. I’m so calling that a discussion post now. 🙂

And I managed to mess up the Linky again and I can’t figure out how to edit it…

  6. Question about the giveaway: What if I have multiple discussion posts for the month of january? Do you not have extra submissions into the giveaway for extra discussion posts?
